    Hello

I think I might need your help.

There are nine weeks to Christmas and I REALLY need to lose some weight. I have no money to go back to SW but I have all the books and I can get the magazine.
I can no longer blame the baby weight (he's two now) and although I have no time to myself and I'm crap at controlling what I eat I'm going to try and lose 18lbs by Christmas Day.

    I started today.
This morning I stood on the scales at 19 stone 9lbs
I would like that to change.

ask your gp if they give out slimming world vouchers, i got 12 weeks free from my gp, Gp's withing Suffolk pct will give you them if your bmi is over 30, then if you lose 5 % of your body weight you get another 12.

Well done on the will power [wish mine was stronger]

I couldn't resist the Thorntons chocolates in the staff room although I only had one. Its only going to get worse with the run up to C*******S. I came back from mr T's with salted peanuts, 3 bags of big cookies & 2 packs of boost bars and am happy to say I won't be eating any of them :D

Food today: bit of an odd one
    B - weetabix milk [a] coffee
    L - 2x wm rolls [2xb], cous cous loaf, s/cream [.5], toms, crisps [5], activia
T - mince, onions, cauli, carrots, peas, mash, 3x mini yorkies [3?]
Snacks - pear, choc [3], pineapple, melon, onken, meringue [2.5]
    Syns - 14
Not sure what sort of day it was, probably EE with 3 b's :o but then I am at target. Oh well
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
    Keep the Faith All

    Heartbroken 12.12.13
  • I'm going to (yawn yawn) take my SW book to bed and get some ideas for varying my breakfasts a bit more (it's either fruit and yog, or fruit and allbran and yog, or occasionally bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes), and my supper a lot more as it is almost always green salad (rocket/watercress), with spring onions, beetroot, capers, olives, cucumber, warm potatoes and smoked salmon or prawns. Thing is, when I get in from work I can have that lot ready in five minutes; I don't want to spend the time or dirty the pans doing much more . hey ho.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    hiya,

yay lost 1.5 this week which was unexpected due to having a cold and totm.
also got the xmas cook book from buying a countdown - looks very yummy

mrsm - the recipie for beef and wine pasta sounds lovely - will be trying that

tried to make cous cous loaf yesterday but it came out more like cous cous brick lol

alisont - there is thread on minimins about weatherspoons. there is a rumour the jacket potatoes are injected with fat or deep fried, causing the high calorie count - but not sure how truthul that is. however they do say the weatherspoons 5 bean chilli is very low syn. hth

I have one of these for breakfast which are b options:

    28g Kelloggs Bran Flakes & 1 x Ryvita original
28g Nestle Shredded wheat (honey or plain) & 1 x Ryvita wholegrain crackerbread
28g Kelloggs Optivita Raisin Oat crisp - this is my favourite - could eat it every day!:D
28g Weetabix Mini's cereal (any variety) & 1 Ryvita wholegrain crackerbread.

I usually have these with either some blackberries or a kiwi chopped up and a Muller light yogurt as I'm not keen on milk.

Could you batch cook your evening meals at the weekend and then freeze them down for during the week??

1lb on this week, disappointed because i've been good but my body is recovering from flu jag so i'll blame that and keep trying for next week.
  • Whoop whoop just found out the new chocolate weetabix can be counted as a HEB plus 2 syns for 2 biscuits :j - as a chocolate freak I think its worth it :rotfl:going to Asdas in my lunch break.

And I think for the rest of my chocolate demons I am going to do as suggested, like I have done with biscuits, just not buy them! My thinking is I am that desperate for some I will go buy one - and knowing me the thought of walking round in dark and cold will stop me :D I now have to tackle the boyfriend - stop him buying me some - bless he has best intentions - buys me a ripple because I am being good which kinda defeats the object - got half a stone to do before xmas and with my average loss at a 1lb a week hoping I can do it x
  • Morning everyone and well done to the losers:j:j

Well the lurgy has well an truely hit and I've rung into work to say I won't be in today and tomorrow... so you may see more of me sticking my beak in the next few days :)

OH loved dinner last night Navarin Lamb roasties and wokked cabbage, he has requested it again soon LOL

Today (Green) - this is what I plan but being poorly it may change with inclination levels.

    B - 2 ryvita (.5 B) cheese (.5 A)
L - carbonara (F) but with no meat as I've not got any.
    D - Spanish Chicken (B) vegetable Rice (F)
    Snx - Rice Pud (A) 2 ryvita (.5 B) cheese (.5 A)

quick and maybe a thicky question.... medicine and get well potions... are we supposed to syn them?

Oh well back to lying in bed :(:(
