  • Hello

I think I might need your help.

There are nine weeks to Christmas and I REALLY need to lose some weight. I have no money to go back to SW but I have all the books and I can get the magazine.
I can no longer blame the baby weight (he's two now) and although I have no time to myself and I'm crap at controlling what I eat I'm going to try and lose 18lbs by Christmas Day.

    I started today.
This morning I stood on the scales at 19 stone 9lbs
I would like that to change.

  • I lost another 1lb this week which got me my 1 stone award - been doing SW now for 8 weeks. Any tips on will power I am getting into bad habit of being good all week and relaxing at weekends - telling myself its ok as been good all week? I have lost every week (sometimes only 1/2 lb) but want to nip this habit in bud before gets out of hand. I try telling myself I have not had bread or biscuits for 8 weeks but when it comes to chocolate its a whole new ball game!!! I was just buying funsize bars, which started well but finding the last 2 weeks I can't stop at just one in evening HELP!!

Also, may be wishful thinking but will the new Chocolate Weetabix be a HEB too lol !!! xx

calorie amount for a jacket spud, beans and salad seems high, wonder if they do something to the salad, or if that includes butter?
I've not been to Weatherspoons pub for some time; but I do seem to remember that they put some oily dressing on the salad; even when you ask them not to!

I have to really watch this as I'm vegan - usually have to remind the staff there. Once I had beans on toast and thought they had put butter on the toast but turned out it was mixed in the beans:mad: the salad dressing has egg in so have to tell them twice about that as Im intollerant to egg as well as being vegan. Am sure it will be ok tomorrow - nice syn free meal:)

I resisted the goodies at the cinema :D also, when I came out I could smell the nearby chinese and soooo wanted to get one on way home, but I came straight back and made eggs on toast instead! Whoop.

  • Big hugs for cheeseaddict, I hope the three things that have hit you get sorted out.
RadioHelen, welcome. I'm sure you will lose that ..erm.. baby weight. I can't blame babies either, I'm just greedy, so on to Lizzibums question - the only thing I can recommend is not to buy the bad stuff. I've tried shoving chocolate in the freezer. Ten minutes later it's out and being noshed. I now must accept my rubbish self-control and just NOT BUY IT (because I put a pound on this week instead of taking a pound off, and I've only myself to blame). Take yourself in hand, Lizzibums, and say "I am doing this for me! I am going to look fabulous! And I am going to enjoy doing it!"
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

I know exactly where you are coming from and agree that not buying it is the best and only option! I bought some Pringles a few weeks back as they were buy one get two free. They were meant to be for Christmas and in a moment of weakness I eat a tube and had a 0.5 pound gain that week!:(

That pound will come off in no time!
