awww dont worry - everyone comfort eats at some point

alot of the weight i have to loose now is what i put on after my mum was in hospital for almost a year and then died - you just dont have the energy to make decent food and end up eating rubbish

the good thing is you obviously realise you are doing it and can try to stop yourself or at least limit it

This is so true, we've had a lot of takeaways, crisps & pasties :o and kfc is just around the corner  The good thing is there is hardly any food left in now & I've made my shopping list for tomorrow so I am definately going to stick to it. If there is no junk here I can't eat it! Thats the plan anyway.

I have to second this I put the some weight back on when my 20mth old was badly burned at home. She was in intensive care for a week after needing skin grafts it was the worst time of my life but we ate rubbish. We had to bring food into the hospital as we were staying by her side we ate every kind of take away going. This continued when we got home because of the care she needed and we didnt like to leave her. But now things are on the up hence going back last month - good luck this is about life and sometimes it switches up on you for a while. The important thing is that you turn it back around as soon as you are strong enough xxx
• Hey guys, hope all is well!

I went out last night and stayed within the syn limit, until I realised I had miss-syned my oven chips :p

Breakfast - 28g bran flakes & milk (HeA & HeB) +18g bran flakes (3)
Tea - Chicken & leek pie topped with carrot and swede & oven chips (2.5)
Snacks - FF activia yog & 1 square of galaxy (1)
Drinks - 4 x morgans spiced & d.coke (10)
TOTAL = 16.5

I had to have some extra bran flakes becuase 28g is about 28 flakes! I think it would have taken me 4 spoonfuls to finish it, so I measured out another 3 syns worth. I also was going to have a red day, but couldnt think of anything to go with my chicken and leek pie, so bunged chips on without thinking! The pie was quite nice, but could have done with a bit of gravy.

I also tried making some of the cous cous cake/fritter things, didn't think much of them, but I didn't add anything to them either so that might have been why. Also i'm not keen on cous cous, and I didn't think the frying got rid of the texture of them enough for me. But thanks for posting the recipe :T

today is a green day
Breakfast - 34g bran flakes (1.5 HEB) ss.milk (HEA)
Lunch - Muller light, an apple and a bacholers roasted vegetable cuppa pasta (FREE :D)
Tea - Leek and pea pasta
Snacks - apple, caramel rocky (5), FF activia yog.

anyway, the leek and pea pasta I really didn't like, I made it from last months slimming world mag. The recipe had BGTY low fat soft cheese in it and it made me feel sick :-( so I basically washed my pasta in some hot water to get the cheese off it, and I still wasn't happy with it really, but hey ho, I know not to make it again! Threw about a third of it away. Still feel full at the mo, so thats not too bad. The soft cheese was free anyways so it didn't steal my HEA off me, so thats good :rotfl:

Also, I wanted to ask a HEB question, in the list it says I can have a seseme/wholewheat/original ryvita with my 28g of bran flakes, is it any ryvita and its just giving examples, or just the one it says? I just bought some mixed seed ryvita's you see, and wondered weather I could have it too. BTW are all ryvita's 1syn each?

I'm rather happy that I have managed to only use 5 syns so far, and still have loads of thing I can have to cure the night time muchies that certainly will attack! I can still have 1 slice of WM bread for the rest of my HEB so could have toast & scrambled egg with red leicester cheese (other HEA) and syn the other slice of toast. I've also got some spaghetti hoops I could have on toast, or another choccie bar for 5 syns. Could have some ryvita's too! The cupboard is my oyster :rotfl:

Hi

Going to Wetherspoons tomorrow night for tea to meet a friend, we use to go to Pizza Express but I asked her if the pub was ok as Pizza is such high syns. She does SW on/off so is happy,

I could have a jacket spud and beans/dressing free salad but I do like the sweet potato and chick pea curry with rice, cant have nann as contains dairy. Anyone know roughly would a veggie curry and rice be really bad?

Can't think of anything else on the menu other than the jacket as those 2 dishes are the only vegan options I think. Oh the tomato soup is ok but I dont know how to work out syns and got WI Thursday night.

Thanks:)

Bleurgh, was really good all day, until DD asked if we could have pizza:eek: Meh, not the end of the world i suppose. I've already had my 5 portions of fruit and veg etc so not the worst day ever:o

Hugs cheeseaddict, sounds like you guys are having a terrible time:(

Will probably have a stressful day tomorrow, DD has a hospital appt, did some frantic phoning around today trying to find the right person to speak to about getting her into the ortho clinic. Eventually tracked her down - poor lady on reception at hospital was sick of speaking to me i think! DD needs seen asap as she is in a fair bit of pain, needed to give her paracetemol, ibuprofen and codeine last night so she could get some sleep:eek: Hope it is nothing to serious, she may need surgery if it is:(

I'm not sure, the rice would be fine and the vegetables in the curry, its just the curry sauce they use and the cooking method of it all. If you think about how high in syns some of the jars of curry sauce are, its a bit hard to guestimate.
