Hi everyone - I've tried to catch up after my weekend away but I have had to speed read quite a bit so please forgive me if I have missed anything important!
Cheeseaddict - sorry to hear your problems - hope things are easing off a bit.
I hd a fab weekend in Ingleton (Yorkshire Dales) taking pictures of waterfalls with 2 photography friends. We stayed in a pub, and even though it was pub grub, I think I walked off any extras! We had an amazing starter of salmon and sweet potato fishcakes which I am going to try and make at home - it was yummy!
I am going back to basics this week (from today) as I have maintained since I got back from hols at the beginning of this month. I have had lunch out today and yesterday, but have compensated in the evenings.
I really need to keep a food diary as that is the thing that keeps me on the straight and narow!
Hope all is well with everyone.

Who makes it and I'll see if there is a syn value on the SW website.:)0 -
Thanks for all the hugs and wishes
There have been no improvements but no more bad news either!
Haven't stuck to plan today, need to go shopping but can't be botheredThought I'd still check in though, might embarrass me to do better tomorrow!
B = 28g fruit & fibre (HEB), 250ML semi-skimmed (HEA)
L= Sundried tomato bap (???:o), cheese (6ish), chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo (5) wheat crunchies (?)
D = Homemade maccaroni cheese
I shall try to have a small portion of the mac cheese and bulk it out with salad but not promising anything :cool:0 -

Don't give yourself a hard time - your going thru some rough stuff:( - it's inevitable that food will be your crutch. Big (hugs)0 -

alot of the weight i have to loose now is what i put on after my mum was in hospital for almost a year and then died - you just dont have the energy to make decent food and end up eating rubbish
the good thing is you obviously realise you are doing it and can try to stop yourself or at least limit it0 -
Hi all, can I join please? I have previously done slimming world and it worked really well for me and I kept the weight off for two years, however my OH and I got married this year and I was getting really stressy and kept fainting so the doctor told me to put some weight on and I took that to mean I had free reign to eat cakes and pizza until the cows came home! (Well, it was doctor's orders and all that).
So, I rejoined SW last thursday and I think I'm doing ok so far - I'm doing green days cos I'm vegetarian. The new chip cards are quite fancy aren't they! We didn't have them when I was doing SW a couple of years ago!0 -

Hi all just popping in to post the latest recipes I have tried -just in case they appeal to anyone..
one-pot beef and red wine pasta
serves 4 -well it did us
EE = 1.5 syns per serving (5 total)- 350g extra lean minced steak
- 1 large onion -chopped
- 2 cloves garlic -crushed/grated
- 1tsp dried rosemary
- 125ml red wine - 4.5
- 500g passata
- 250ml beef stock
- 1tbs tomato puree 0.5
- slosh of balsamic -optional
- pinch sugar/sweetener
- salt/pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- frozen peas -optional
- 250g pasta shells, twists etc..
- drop the mince into a dry non-stick pan and colour
- add the onion, garlic and cook until onions start to soften
- add tomato puree and stir through
- add red wine and bubble
- add passata, stock, herbs and bring to a simmer
- season and cook over a low heat for approx 20mins -stirring occasionaly
- I add a slosh of balsamic at this point and season.. also add sweetener if needed
- add the pasta and 125ml just boiled water..
- cover and cook for 8-10mins stirring often to stop pasta sticking and throwing in frozen peas half way through...
-oohh and next time Im going to add mushrooms along with the onions:D.
Hope everyone likes it..tis good ole winter food and suprisingly quick to prepare -I was doing mine whilst putting the shopping away
Give me a yell if any of it doesn't make sense :rotfl:-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
