where do you buy Joes sausages from? are they like quorn? just wondering how they are syn free

no these are real meat sausages/burgers/grillsticks/steaks, not Quorn. I can't post a link as my mouse just went funny LOL. But if you googles Joes sausages you will find them. Only downside is that they are quite pricy, and you have to order a minimum of 6 packs. BTW I haven't tried them yet, but Consultant recommends them. And they have a certificate from SW that is valid till July 2011 HTH.

    Hi bettyb

I have a few leaflets enclosed in the parcel & I agree it's unclear about the marinated meats, hence i only ordered the chinese chicken & the peppered chicken. According to the leaflet, it is all of the following (which I think is all they offer anyhow):

    - Chinese chicken steaks
    - Peppered chicken steaks
    - Hot & spicy pork steaks
    -Chinese pork steaks
    - Cajun pork steaks
    - Peppered pork steaks
    - Peppered beef steaks

    HTH

thanks - looks like hot n spicy chicken is the only one with syns

I am really tempted to get these:
    Pork and Leek Sausage
    Pork & Apple Sausage
    Beef Burgers
    Peppered Beef Steak
    Chinese Style Pork Steaks

but is £26 too much for meat & delivery?? i suppose it can be frozen, so will last forever. plus the same kind of products do cost about the same in tescos, so it's not too bad.

will these meats be any good for my skinny OH? I guess i can given him some fatty extras, like cheese and sauces.

Please could someone look up a syn value for me?

I have a bottle of Absolut Vanilla vodka.

I know normal vodka is 35ml for 4 syns, but i was wondering if this is in the syn directory as i'm not sure whether the flavouring would make it more synful?

    thanks :)

Doesn't show up on syns online, and vanilla flavouring comes up as free so go for it!

    Hi All

Hope theres room for a (soon to be !!!) Little one!! :D

I was on Slimming World last year, lost nearly 4 stone! :j But then moved in with my boyfriend, got comfortable, and the weight is slowly creeping back on! Have gained a stone and a half :( And now is the time to get back in control!

I joined a gym a few weeks ago, am going 3 times a week for a workout and swim and also trying to attend one group exercise class a week. And today I officially jumped back on the SW bandwagon!

Have had a quick read through this post and its great to see everyone sticking together and encouraging each other to stick at it! So I'm hoping I can stick around here and get the encouragement/kick up the back side I need!

First, drink 2 big glasses of water - it will fill you up and stop you eating more.
Then brush your teeth - the mint taste will tell your brain it's time to stop eating.
then go for a walk, or have a bath or shower. Do something where food isn't available.
Meanwhile, think about the next important function coming up where you would love to look amazing and how good that will feel.

    hope that helped :)
