So, re my post above - I made up the pasta with the water and milk. It was OK. So on EE how many Syns do you think I should give it? I did not weigh after cooking! Not sure if it should be 2 Syns for the lot or 1.5 Syns for each 100g??

    Help!

The 2 syns is for the whole packet.

Thanks. I think the food optimising book (page 60) is rather misleading then.

I'm glad you clarified that for me - I bought 6 packets at Lidl yesterday! Not too impressed though, don't think I'll buy any more, it was a very strange mustard yellow colour when cooked.

Yeah my OH is totally like that - eats twice as much dinner as me and polishes of a packet of biscuits, not an inch of fat on him - just goes to show some of our troubles are evolutionary/genetic (his family are all sooo skinny!) as well as behaviour-based!

the worst part of the vibro-plate was at the end when the trainer was doing a massage bit on my legs - pressing my calf muscles down on it really hard - unbelievably it really tickled!! :rotfl:I was literally lying on the floor screaming and giggling in front of a gym full of people!! :rotfl::o

Oh hes a terrible moaner for saying i dont give large portions of food, i prefer to go back if im still hungry where as he wants it all piled on. I hate that, it makes me feel like i'm tackling a challenge!

Although i from a medium-largeish background we've always eaten smaller portions, when i went to his everyone expected me to their 'normal' (more like bloody massive) dinners because i'm large, i can only eat 1/3 of the dinner before being put off and passing bits onto my bf. haha

    Whats the massage for?

I understand SW, I get the concept I just at times feel as though it's not complicated enough to allow body composition change as well as weight loss. I know you can eat as much protein as you like (although I don't recommend it) but feel that the importance of protein isn't pushed as hard as it could be. The main plan being pushed to new members is EE (myself included) and the primary focus seems to be 'fill up on rice and pasta'.

The problem with pushing that way of losing weight is that even though it works tremendously well and really does help lose weight, most of the target members I have seen have that 'I can tell it was a person that has lost weight' thing going on - which isn't a problem but it's not what I want. SW really does work and I love it, I just adapted it to fit my overall goals.

I get what you mean about the 'person that has lost weight look' however for me anyway my first step is to get to that person. I think by fill up on pasta the suggestion is that when your having your dinner don't try and eat as little as possible (like on a calorie controlled diet) but fill up on pasta and you will be more likely to avoid snacking on high calorie snacks later.

I do agree exercise is very important to give you the figure you want but sometimes get quite despondant when you have exercised loads, pretty much stuck to the diet and don't get any better results (weightwise) than you would with just the diet only.

well I always pile his plate high - stops me putting too much on my own!!

The massage was to stop your muscles getting tight and sore after the exercise. it was weird!

I maintained today! Sort of happy as I lost so much last week due to being ill that I panicked I would put it all back on once I started eating normally again.

I'm eating out tons these next few days:eek: Thai food tonight, buffet on work do tomorrow and Nando's Sunday. Going to be super strict next week I think.

    Hi all:j

Many thanks to everyone who helped with my last query - my World of Flavours book is here and so are loads of Joe's sausages & burgers, chicken & kebabs, wow they smell amazing!! Now to decide which ones to have for dinner, that will be tough.:rotfl: I will report back & LYK how they taste. All syn-free, it's amazing....pricey but hopefully worth it.

One quick question, if someone could look up the syns for me for a M&S dish I just bought? It may not be online as it does say it's a new product but I could put the nutritional info if needed. It is a Chargrilled Mediterranean Vegetable Pasta Melt, weight is 1kg!! 145 cal per 100g, TIA if you can help:D

Can i ask a question about Joe's Sausages? On the marinated meats page it says 'Most are certified as Syn Free by Slimming World™' however it does not then specify which are or aren't syn free - anyone know which ones aren't???

    Hi bettyb

I have a few leaflets enclosed in the parcel & I agree it's unclear about the marinated meats, hence i only ordered the chinese chicken & the peppered chicken. According to the leaflet, it is all of the following (which I think is all they offer anyhow):

    - Chinese chicken steaks
    - Peppered chicken steaks
    - Hot & spicy pork steaks
    -Chinese pork steaks
    - Cajun pork steaks
    - Peppered pork steaks
    - Peppered beef steaks
