Hi Everyone,
i've been reading for a while and thought i'd introduce myself as i've started SW at home and feel i'm doing it wrong.
I chose EE to start off with but am getting a little confused as to whats free and whats not.
I wonder if someone can look at my 2 days of food and guide me in the right direction please.
Day 1
B-Porridge (HEB) and Milk (Part HEA) Rest in teas and coffee
L-Tuna steak with blackening seasoning, JP with a square of butter (2) and salad
D-Pasta with peas and sweetcorn [not superfree], onion and mushroom fried in fry light with a low fat pork sausage (1)
Apple
Muller light yogurt (Syn value???) [most are FREE but depends on flavor, choc & cherry layer aren't free]
Day 2
B-Porridge (HEB) and Milk (Part HEA)
L-Omlette with ham, onion, mushroom and a laughing cow light triangle (part HEA)???? Large salad
D-3 normal pork sausages (13.5)??? [depends on make, Tesco pork 57g chilled 5.5] , 100g oven chips(????)[depends on brand, mcCains 5% straight cut 100g raw 2.5] and 2 eggs in 1tb oil (0.5) [Teaspoon is 2 syns]
Apple, raspberries, Muller light yogurt
I can see already that the superfrees arent enough.
Confused on the yogurts and how many syns they are.
Todays menu was very unfortunate. I was out visiting and it was what was cooked for me. i dont want to get into bad habits straight off so i've sorted it that my 'visit' meal will be SW friendly from now on.
This is my planned menu for tomorrow
B-Porridge (HEB) and milk (part HEA) with raspberries
L-Ommlette with onion and red pepper with a large salad. With laughing cow light triangle (part HEA)?
D-Pork steak with fat trimmed, Cous cous, stirfry veggies
Apple, banana, orange and Muller light yogurt (Syns?????)[free]
TIA for looking and any advice.
xxxxxxx

Hello all!
I've been reading this thread all week (I joined SW last Wednesday), bettyB pointed me in this direction - thanks betty!
My weigh in is at 7pm tonight. I hope I lose something (my scales are on the blink, so I have no idea!) I must say I have eaten tons this week, so who knows?!! I might try something other than EE next week, although EE is easier for a beginner. I've just made some syn-free (on EE and Green) roasted red pepper houmous. It could do with a glug of olive oil really, but isn't all that bad! We're supposed to take a dish this week, so I will cut up some carrots and cucumber too and see what everyone else thinks. I do like garlic, so I hope it isn't too garlicky!!
This thread is really informative. I've had a look at minimins as well. I've been a bit SW obsessed this week!! lol.
Hope everyone that's weighing in soon do well. Good luck.Jan 2015 Grocery Challenge £185.10/£5000 -
10 Syns per package/portion on Extra Easy 10 Syns per package/portion on Green 31 Syns per package/portion on Original
Would love someone to check this though, first time I have used the calculator so not sure if I have done it right, it asked if there was any free food?? so I selected fresh uncooked pasta then put all the details in on the per serving tab
sorry bettyb not sure how accurate this is, without adding the free food bit it was coming out at 31 syns on all plans which I didnt think would be right
I could be wrong, but I don't think fresh pasta is free, only dried  slap me if I'm wrong, I can take it.
back to say:
Pasta fresh filled all varieties 28 g boiled 1 syn on green and EE, 2.5 on red
pasta fresh plain all types 28g uncooked 1 syn on green and EE, 4 on red
ditto 28g boiled 0.5 on EE and green, 2 on red:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Hello everyone,
WI for me today and another 1lb lost!:j I told you this would be a long journey!
Have to say though that I've eaten fantastic food and feel great so a 1lb loss is fine.:T
Still find it amazing that I can eat so much AND lose weight.
Thank you for your lovely posts everyone, I seem to lurk often but love reading all your news.

Weigh in at 5:30pm tonight, I always get nervous this time of the week
DIZZY - Hope you feel a bit better very soon. Good luck for your appointment tomorrow. x0 -
I have got the gnocchi baking in the oven, they smell lovely. It is my birthday tomorrow, so the temptation to go off plan is very strong, but I went off plan last weekend as we were celebrating, more celebrations next weekend, and the week after next when we are going to Yorkshire..... I think a line has to be drawn!
Well done on all the losses. I need to plan next weeks meals (we get our veg box tomorrow) and the week after, when we will be away. I must start running over half term too, just keep putting it off while I am teaching.
