Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
lol aha, thank you. I was all confused by that. I spend ages trying to wrap my head around the super free thing :D

Makes no odds to me really, I'm always on EE with what seems to be speed lunches

am pretty sure to be a superfree food the veg has to be free on both green and red.

see this is why my class ran so late last night lol

I think lentils are Free and speed, but not superfree. so long as you have enough sf veg in your lentil soup it's fine tho, and you'll be getting the 1/3 sf required.

Can i please ask a quick question about low fat yoghurt?

My (very old) SW book says 0.5 syns for 100g low fat natural yog, and 0 syns for very low fat natural yog - but it doesn't give any numbers.
But what counts as very low fat?

I have 1.5% low fat yog - is that low fat or very low fat???
Just want to know if i need to weigh/syn it or it's it's free.
    thanks

Checking it all out I think (and I could be wrong) that you have to syn low fat yogurt 1/2syn per 100g. Think it needs to be a fatfree natural yogurt in order for it to be 0 syns
  • Hey everyone,

I'm brand new to Slimming World (gunsandbanjos recommended I come over here) and looking forward to totally getting grasp of the Extra Easy plan - it takes a bit of getting used to, eating pasta but not bread...:j

Any tips and tricks would be great for a newbie...

    Thanks,
    Clare

Ok, so only 0% (like Total 0%) counts as very low fat

that's annoying, Lidl doesn't stock 0% fat yog!
I have to get their 1.5%.
I guess 0.5 syns per 100g is not too bad tho.

Welcome - i am fairly new to SW too (at least i feel like I am!) but feel free to ask as many questions as you need to.

EE is pretty simple - it's what I do most of the time, though I am doing more Green for financial reasons at the mo (cheaper not to use meat)

My top tips are eating protein with meals to stay full - like eggs with brekkie, lentils or beans with lunch, and chicken/turkey with dinner.

Also, home made soup is an amazing way to get loads of superfree veg and really fills you up!!

Thanks for that - I think that i'll maybe need to plan my meals rigorously for the first wee while to get used to what I can have, and what I can't. I love all the free foods I can have though so that's a wee bonus :)

yeah meal planning is essential -I find it hard to factor in all the Healthy Extras and syns if i dont plan properly.

any yes the free food is amazing - when i first started SW i lost 5lb in 2 weeks and was eating shedloads of pasta every day!
