Hi Everyone,
i've been reading for a while and thought i'd introduce myself as i've started SW at home and feel i'm doing it wrong.
I chose EE to start off with but am getting a little confused as to whats free and whats not.
I wonder if someone can look at my 2 days of food and guide me in the right direction please.
Day 1
B-Porridge (HEB) and Milk (Part HEA) Rest in teas and coffee
L-Tuna steak with blackening seasoning, JP with a square of butter (2) and salad
D-Pasta with peas and sweetcorn, onion and mushroom fried in fry light with a low fat pork sausage (1)
Apple
Muller light yogurt (Syn value???)
Day 2
B-Porridge (HEB) and Milk (Part HEA)
L-Omlette with ham, onion, mushroom and a laughing cow light triangle (part HEA)???? Large salad
D-3 normal pork sausages (13.5)???, 100g oven chips(????) and 2 eggs in 1tb oil (0.5)
Apple, raspberries, Muller light yogurt
I can see already that the superfrees arent enough.
Confused on the yogurts and how many syns they are.
Todays menu was very unfortunate. I was out visiting and it was what was cooked for me. i dont want to get into bad habits straight off so i've sorted it that my 'visit' meal will be SW friendly from now on.
This is my planned menu for tomorrow
B-Porridge (HEB) and milk (part HEA) with raspberries
L-Ommlette with onion and red pepper with a large salad. With laughing cow light triangle (part HEA)?
D-Pork steak with fat trimmed, Cous cous, stirfry veggies
Apple, banana, orange and Muller light yogurt (Syns?????)
TIA for looking and any advice.

Many apologies if I caused any offence with 'that' quote. I had no idea it was on SW website or its association with eating disorders. All I meant was I like the feeling of my clothes getting looser and it motivates me not to eat 'naughty' things. Or it did until tonight when I went out for dinner:o
I made the best choices I could but it was a set menu at a charity event and I'm feeling very bloated:( I'd like to have a long run at SW but life is getting in the way. Any advice would be welcome as I'm off to stay in a hotel soon.
On a happier note: I bought melon today (good price in our local Asian shop) and thought I'd have some Parma ham to go with it. Fortunately I got a pack in Aldi at £1.99. Next I went to Waitrose and saw the self same pack for £3.19:eek: It'll make a nice starter for dinner tomorrow and taste all the better for knowing I haven't been ripped off.0 -

you just need to check what veg you are having as peas and sweetcorn are not superfree.
They are free but dont count towards your third of the plate.
we had this discussion in class last night actually. a lady was eating loads of lentil and parsnip soup thinking it was superfree but again neither of those are and she wasnt loosing weight.
i dont have my book with me so cant do you a definitive list of what is not superfree but from the top of my head the following veg are not;
sweetcorn/corn on the cob, peas, parsnips, lentils, potatoes, beans0 -

Well done to all the losers today!
I had the burritos from the World of Flavours book tonight - delicious. BUT thanks to whoever spotted the size of the tortillas used in the recipe - I have had to adjust my syn total for today.
I have the potatoes mashed and in the fridge for the gnochi for tomorrow - I love gnocchi so it will be interesting to see how they turn out. Cheap recipe too.
Liz x
It was me - I made tham last night but I cut my tortillas down to 56g by trimming the edges. I'm not sure how synful they are as my book says they are 3.5 per 28g but then the World of Flavours says 4.5 per 25g. so i figure 56g is about 9-10 syns, and still big enough to make a decent burrito.
I also had paprika spiced SW wedges and rice with fresh corander and lime with it - lovely!!Many apologies if I caused any offence with 'that' quote. I had no idea it was on SW website or its association with eating disorders. All I meant was I like the feeling of my clothes getting looser and it motivates me not to eat 'naughty' things. Or it did until tonight when I went out for dinner:o
That's the way I see that quote - I know pro-ana sites have used it to promote starvation, but to me it means no 'naughty' or synful treat tastes as good as getting to my target weight will feel.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
