I think it was just a passing comment by another poster, and I'm sure that person didn't know of its association with anorexia sites. I thought the saying was 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels', and agree with banjos that it has been around for a very long time.
It's just one of those mottoes that people use as a motivator, and who are we to criticise?
I, for one, laugh everytime I see BettyB's signature!NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -

I wasn't criticising the poster - I was suggesting the SW shouldn't use it on their official website (http://www.slimmingworld.com/lifelineonline/features/feature_food_on_go.asp) given it's associations with eating disorders.0 -
Could someone post the actual Green Goddess soup receipe, have just joined as I find the Official SW web page fairly useless.
Am trying to get back to target after a good E & D holisday!! weighed in and am half a pound over the max, I do begrudge paying for half a pound !!
You might have trouble finding it on slimming world website as I made up that name for it(at least I think I did, unless I'm doing someone else a massive discredit here)
Its broccoli, onion, garlic, stock and a small potato cooked until just tender, and a bag of spinach added then all blended up with a hand blender. Free on green and extra easy, or syn the potato (or omit it) on original.
Today I have been mostly... feeling the effects of the dyno rod soup! :rotfl: It really is quite special! :rotfl:
Still, a good day so far. Had a bottle of lilt (100 calories, but don't know syns yet) with lunch, a hifi bar, an apple and 2 nanas, HM houmus, fresh spinach, beetroot and carrot sticks. Bowl of green goddess soup when I got in, and was going to have a bowl of dyno but GG soup filled me up nicely :T Might still have it later on if I get peckish then. Going over to a friends for a study meeting in a bit, and they have bought me a cadburys scream egg - I'm going to try to leave it until Thursday, but I can't guarantee anythingNothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

You don't pay on the first week over target anyway so if you follow the plan you shouldn't have to pay at all as it will be gone by next week
There are some fab recipes on the web site - look in the archives section!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Have any of you ever counted the calories that you eat on a slimming world day ? I am starting class on wednesday and i have sort of been half counting calories, half doing slimming world. It wories me that when i start slimming world my calorie intake will be much higher than the 1000 i have been having. 2 2 finger kitkats (11 sins) would be 110 calories, i am guessing at the healthy extras being about 150 calories each, so four of them = 600 calories so thats 700 calories before i have even started eating the free foods (which will be green most days as veggie). Can't see how this is goign to be low enough in calories for me to lose weight.
Nooooooo, ignore calories, follow a plan (any plan) as it is meant to be followed and you are guaranteed to lose weight.
Why would anyone waste their life counting everything they consume when there is Food Optimising out there?
Also, just to be pedantic, 1000 calories is almost a starvation diet, it is usually recommended that you never have less than 1250 calories a day.............but as I said, why count at all?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi everyone,
Had my first WI this evening, and I lost 1.5lbs! At first I thought, 'What, is that all?!' but actually, I'm really pleased now! I've never eaten so much food I enjoy in a week and lost weight! :j
Plus it was my first week, so I was adjusting to new eating habits and ideas etc. This week I'll drink more water, as not been too hot on that tbh and continue not to feel guilty about what I'm eating!
Thanks for all your help in my first week!
Hope you are all losers too (in the nicest possible way of course!).

Thanks guys... sorry for the annoyance subsequent posts to mine caused.
My quote was just someone on here a while ago boosting someone else up.....
I think my problem is partly that my chocolate bars aren't satisfying enough, I just have fun-size ones whereas when I was having curly wurlys, it was a lot nicer and worth looking forward to. Also, at work I have access to a ton of crisps and snacks, but no healthy alternatives so I have to eat what I take in or nothing!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

only prob i have now is the sw website has told me i haven't been to my group lately so they are about to delete my membership.
i moved groups about 3/4 weeks ago - would you say they haven't registered me properly ?
the website still lists me as being at the old one but i can't seem to change it anywhere
There's obviously been an error somewhere, get your Consultant to make sure she has you registered properly at your new group. Are you using the swipe card? Perhaps it would be better (and quicker) to email SW head office info@slimming-world.com
Hope that helpsI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
