Yay have finally caught up with all of you!! :j
There have been some great losses this week very inspirational. I need to lose 2lbs to get my first half stone award. So I'm off to Morrison's after work to stock up on melons and berries. Will look out for any relevant offers and post here.0 -
Thanks, its just disappointing when i put on 1/2 this week, put on 1/2 last week, sts the week before etc. etc.
Over the last 3 months i have actually gained 3lbs - at one time i had lost 4st 2.5lbs - now i have only lost 3st 10lbs
It is just annoying when you have some good weeks and it doesn't show!
Sorry for the moan, just need to let it out - none of the guys at work want to listen to me moaning about lack of weight loss! :rotfl:
It is disheartening but you know like we all do that it really works when you stick to it.
Look at the bigger picture, you have lost an amazing amount of weight and you can lose more if you want to.
Forget what you've put back on and focus on the fantastic loss that you've achieved.
Best of luck to you xx0 -
Evening all
Today is day 1 of my xmas star challenge. I wasn't at class last week as I was on holiday but I know that my consultant was putting up an xmas tree ?!?!? and was then inviting members to write what they want to achieve by xmas and stick on the tree. Mine is to get back to my target weight which means losing (according to my book) 11 pounds and if possible to lose a whole stone ! :j
Ive missed class again tonight (naughty me)because I know my weight will have crept into that next stone and I really don't want that in my book! Im aiming to have a really good week and thus be back under that stone threshold when I weigh next week. Ive written out my planned weight losses from now until xmas so hopefully this will be enough to motivate me and I can look at it everytime I want to stray....
Im having green today so breakfast was an alpen light and a mixture of melon, pineapple and pink grapefruit. mid morning snack was my second alpen light (so my first HEB) with an options hot chocolate (2 syns)
Lunch was heinz curry beans (200g tin) (1 syn) on toast (heb friendly bread) sprinkled with parmesan (HEA) and paprika (yum)
snack on the way home from work was a kit kat (5.5 syns)(didn't need this really)
tea is the egg, sw chips and pepper bake from last month's sw mag (aug/sep 2010).
menu plans for later in the week include the cheesy rice and aubergine pepper melts from the one pot wonders cook book. also planning to have gammon with cherry tomatoes and sw chips (extra easy that day I think) and steak and jackets and veg. yum. also going to try some pasta dishes. thank you for all the ideas by the way - been away on holiday so only just had chance now to catch up on posts and still haven't caught up completely!
I may do the lamb dhansak recipe from the sw mag (oct 10 issue) at the weekend. If I plan better (and know what Im eating) then I think I will find it easier to stick to.
To nessie216, sorry you feel things seem to have hit :wall: , if you are sticking to it then the results will show. look at your weight loss over the month rather than the individual weeks and measure yourself also as sometimes the results will show here rather than on the scales. Do you go to a class ? perhaps ask your consultant for a food diary and complete it for her to have a look at in case there is anything that has crept in that is adding hidden syns. Do you still measure your HEA/HEB options or do you guess ? its surprising how little you are allowed really - how small a 227g spud actually is !
If you are not measuring then go back to measuring. Don't forget if weighing out things such as flour that are lots more syns if you use a heaped tablespoon rather than a flat (levelled off) tablespoon.
Also try some new things. Vary your HEB options, look back to your food diarys when you had really good weight losses and perhaps follow that for a week. Add your one third superfree regardless of whether you are following extra easy / red / green
be kind to yourself. don't be too strict with your syns. they are there to be enjoyed !0 -
Evening all:)
My food today,
B - 2 wheatbix and rice milk
Mid am as hungry - beans/toms on 1 wholemeal toast
Lunch - bowl of HM vege soup M&S orzo pasta salad (1.5)
D- Jacket spud, rattatouille and salad, SW rice pud and berries
Snacks - apple x 2 and a pear.
Have to say I'm getting bored of jacket spuds, pasta and rice salads. Have got tons of Green recipes to try but not got time to cook them when I get in from work as only get about a 20 min slot in the kitchen and am so hungry when I get in I cant wait to get in the kitchen later as would be at least an hour later then.
Our freezer is full so cant freeze portions as Sunday is my main day I have time to cook. Oh for time in the kitchen and space in the freezer!
If I find any energy later might get something ready for tea tomorow, fancy trying a potato, baked bean and cheese pie.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
Sealed pot challenge number 9 number 4820 -
My weekly treat if I have the success I want on the scales is going to be 2 x hotel chocolate florentines. I will syn them though - how many syns should I allow ? I was thinking 5 per chocolate .....0

Hello all  again
Well, today has been another good day
B - Weetabix Oaty bar, nana, shape 0 yogurt
L - HM Lentil soup, pineapple, apple, summer fruits and yogurt
T - a MASSIVE (and I mean huge!!!) bowl of pasta, tomatoes, leek, celery, onion, mushroom, peppers, chicken, ham, oxo. mmmmmmm
Well done on all the losses. Nessie, don't get disheartened, it does work and you have a fantastic weight loss to your name.... :T
Now, on a serious note - how many extra syns can I have for just battling the spider monster from hell????:rotfl:
Just picked up my fleecy blanket to cover my bare feet, to find a beastie clinging to it - in terror (OH is away!!) I flung him off, only to find him on the stairs (after first checking my slippers!!). O grabbed the nearest piece of paper, forced him aboard, legged it to the front door and flung him to the elements.... phew!!!!!!!
Oh dear........:D

'Nothing tastes as good as feeling thin.'
I always thought that was Kate Moss who had said that, lol. I disagree tho which is part of my problem lol, I'm really glad it works for you maman.
Sorry to digress, but I was dismayed to see this quote on the SW website as a motivational quote.
Dismayed because it's long been adopted by pro-anorexia groups and websites as a mantra to avoid eating. Kate Moss came in for criticism over using it because of this.
I don't think it should be used by Slimming World.
Not only does it align SW with eating disorders, it simply doesn't apply to the plan; the point of SW is to eat lots of what's good for you, not to avoid eating!
I'm just really disappointed to see it in use on the website.0 -
oh owl Id have screamed and run for the hills! Im not good with spiders! my 2 year old has a thing for them, he seems to find and play with them :eek:0
