    Morning all

I've just managed to catch up on posts.
Sorry to hear whats happened with your bank account takeiteasy. Its awful. Same thing happened to my friend and she got all the money back so chin up hun the bank will get it sorted for you.

Well we had a 'fun' day yesterday! NOT. Our oven blew up!!! taking out all the kitchen leccy with it and it was bang on teatime too. Took a while to get my dad to come n look at it and get leccy back on and in that time we gave in to hunger and got a takeaway:o, mind i only got a tiny 7" pizza instead of my usual 10" plus chips. It was yummy tho. Anyway oven is totally kaput, thankfully hob is now working so we're off to b&q to price a new oven.

So today i havent a clue what i'm doing. I'm gonna aim for a green day but think we'll be eating out so we'll have to find somewhere that does jacket spuds.

    So far i've had....
    B - bran flakes
    £387.39/£196.46
Pay my debt by End of Feb 2022
    49.28% paid!

£199.55/£500 savings by End of April 2022
    39.91% saved!

    Make £2022 in 2022 - £20

Well - I feel better today and am glad I got the fairy kick up the jacksie (I sent one to you too flutterbyuk - did you get it?), it made me fell better to know other people were struggling. After I posted I brushed my teeth and the minty taste stopped me fancying anything else!
Bummer about the oven Nickynoo - hope you get a good deal on the new one.

    So far so good today,
B - forest fruits and 0% activia raspberry yoghurt
mid morning - small cappuccino at work (hea)

Out to a party tonight so will have to pick my way through the land mines.

    Hey ho!

NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........
  • Hi everyone,
I have almost completed my first week of slimming world. I have really enjoyed it actually, finding it takes a bit of planning ahead with meals and new products, but I am getting my head around it. I am doing red days and green days - not on Exta Easy yet. Part of the reason why I'm enjoying it is because I'm never hungry really! I eat plenty (of free foods) at meal times, and like to snack on fruit anyway, so that that's good, or I have more free foods or my HE allocations (totally loving the alpen choc and nut bars btw, lush! :)).
My concern is, and I'm sure it's a common one, how am I going to loose weight when I'm eating so much?! I don't feel any different so really, I am not expecting a weight lose this week, in fact, I'm scared I'm going to have put some on! I have about 2 stone to loose . I think I'll feel reassured when I hand in my food diary in class this week, to get a second opinion if it really is all ok!
When you first started, did any of you have the same concerns, and did it have a happy ending?!
    Thanks so much,
    Bob Cat xx

BobCat we ALL had that worry at the begining, you could bet a million that EVERY newbie says the same thing. I personally thought I'd never lose weight eating so much and it took months to get out of that mind frame. BUT it does work [see my sig] so good luck with weigh in :j you will be amazed :A

  • Aw, Thank you TakeItEazy.
I knew I wasn't the only one ever to think that, but you've made me feel so much better. I guess that what we do eat is so low in fat and sugar, that's whay it has a positive effect, and I just need to remind myself of that!
Well done for reaching your target! :j

Guess it's off to the fridge for some magic porridge then!

Quick question, I want to make a cheesy pasta bake. I will be using quark, HEa grated cheese, onions, tomatoes & herbs. Do I need egg to set it or is the quark enough on its own? Do I need to add anything else i.e ff fromage?
Advice greatly appreciated :D Thanks in advance.
