She is my 4 year old Pug. She is gorgeous and very naughty at times! I also have another girl Pug who is 6 months younger and she is a delightful little dog. They are energetic and enjoy their walks and like to be 'busy' with you (ie. helping to dig the garden! Lol). I would recommend a Pug to anyone, they have such super personalities and not a nasty bone in their body.
what you need is a Rottie cross,my Ozzy is truly wonderful and not at all nasty,we have 6 dogs,5 German Shepherds and Ozzy, and 4 cats, the cats eat from Ozzy's bowl under his nose if he has chicken,i have to guard him from them0 -
Hi everyone!
Well, the sun is shining (I think, always a bit tricky as I sit far away and with my back to the window!
Thanks for suggestions from Sian the Green and Bexstars. I go on a Monday because it seems the best day to get myself motivated for the week (the bit about motivation hasn't really happened yet, although I am certainly more careful about what I eat and I've cut down on alcohol). Very pre-occupied at the moment, so just can't get my head around all the different plans and I find it hard to believe that eating unlimited amounts of tatties or pasta can help me slim as I always feel that these are the foods I need to go easy on because they bloat me, just like bread! Will just have to substitute but as I say, find it hard to understand the book to work out what is what. There is no other class nearby at that time, so am a bit stuck!
Broccoli: this is really easy and tastes very nice.
Steam broccoli in microwave for a few minutes until at the texutre you like (I prefer not too cooked!), sprinkle some sesame seeds, salt and pepper on and serve with a dollop of fromage frais which has been mixed with a teaspoon of horseradish sauce as well as grilled chicken or mackerel (mackerel is dead cheap and good for slimming, so my preferred but I think Skintslimmer didn't want any meat or veg, is that right?)
I also think that it is really important to chew each mouthful about 10 times, until the food is all broken down, makes exit of waste much easier (worth a try, dizzykid? Just an idea!)
Here's my list for today:
B: 2 x kiwi fruit, 28g bitesize shredded wheat w skimmed milk, apple juice diluted w water and a cup of tea (skimmed milk)
S: 2 x nature valley crunchy granola bars
L: small portion of roasted rabbit and roasted vegetables (with olive oil which I'm guessing is a sin!), a macaroon and a thin slice of apricot tart (colleague's birthday)
S: 1 x 9-bar flax bar, 1 pearPoached salmon with steamed veg
I guess the above is all wrong!!!!!
Have had about 1 ltr of water since I got up. Talking of water, Dizzykid, how about you start your day with a pint of water and then a hot lemon, ie out a lemon slice in some hot water and drink the water. That is good for your bowels!

Thanks for the hot lemon suggestion Clouds...I will try that, Ive not got fresh lemon in.....would lemon juice do??
I already chew things thoroughly as I have a prob swallowing a lot of things....Ive got Hiatus hernia/damaged oesphagus from throwing up with the vertigo and it plays up shocking sometimes
My menu today EE
Brekkie banana & grapes hea milk for tea
Lunch 2Turkey slices, Jp, steam fresh veg pack, clementine
Tea Beef goulash, SW roasties, carrots & green beens. grapes & yog
Syns penguin wafer 4.5 alpen light 3
HEB fibre plus bar0 -
I quite often put a squirt of lemon juice from the bottle in my hot water. Taste takes getting used to if sour things aren't your bag! Oh, and if you have some fresh ginger that helps with digestion, too! (I use the lazy ginger type as cheaper and lasts longer!)
Feeling a bit more upbeat now, it's like I've got support via the internet! Yay! :j

No - you can't beat a Pug. Fantastic little dogs! That is so funny about you guarding your rottie from the cats!:rotfl: My eldest daughter loves rotties and wants to have one at some point. We know someone who has one and he is definitely frightened of his own shadow! You only have to bang a dustbin lid and he runs for his life!
Anyway, sorry everyone! Think Ive highjacked the thread with animal talk enough for now!0 -

I'm new too and attended the beginners talk twice so that helped! I'm sure experts will soon run their eyes over your plan and give advice. People on this thread are very kind and friendly. Are you doing Extra Easy or a mixture of days?
Thanks retiredlady for the rice recipe. I was wondering about a baked rice pudding with nutmeg on top. I like mine quite dry so would prefer to do this rather than boiling rice. Anyone tried this?0 -

Cook 1/2 cup of pudding rice in 1 cup of water for about 20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed (I use my remoska). Remove from heat put into a bowl, add fruit and a complementing muller yogurt and mix together! ie rice with sliced banana and toffee yogurt, rice with frozen blueberrys and a blueberry yogurt, rice with mandarin segments (chopped) and mandarin yogurt. For best results eat straight away while it is nice and warm! Tastes really nice and is very very filling! Also free on SW green and EE so can be made any time you fancy it really!

ps - I have done the same thing with cous cous as well - tastes good!

I meet a massive rottie [Freddie] when walking to/from work and he is the softest, daftest dog in the world. He has no interest being aggressive and thinks everyone is his friend. NOW my dog [Rhodesian Ridgeback cross GSD] can't understand why Freddie has a stump of a tail and always tries to bite it, then Freddie lets him know whats what :rotfl:, mines such a wuss he legs it behind me :rotfl:.Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi My book order arrived today but they have not sent the free Jamie Oliver book:( would of been a fab raffle prize for the animal sanctuary/dogs home too.
Will read my book later - planning on photocopying the vegan friendly recipes then will pass it on as dont normally buy meat cook books. My Aunt will love having that book.
