Thats awful, TakeItEazy. I hope you get it sorted soon - its so upsetting to think that someone has done this. We had our credit card used once and someone had spent £800 at a computer shop. We still have no idea how they got our credit card details. We cancelled the card immediately and luckily the credit card company gave us the money back.
Can anyone give me the recipe for pudding rice with yoghurt and fruit, which is a breakfast meal?0 -

Just wanted to add my 2p worth to the water debate. I read an interesting book and research recently by someone who is of the belief that dehydration is the root cause of a lot of our health issues today. This guy was saying have at least 2l a day, and make it pure - don't count coffee, tea etc as part of your water intake because your body doesn't register it like that - especially not if its got caffiene in it which only compounds the dehydration issue. He also warned of the dangers of drinking too much water (i.e. really stupidly high amounts), and subsequent studying I have done would indicate people who die of (is it called hydrotoxaemia?) do so because the water basically flushes out the salts which are in the fluid around the brain, and once that has happened your body can't regulate how much is too much and your brain cells die because they swell and absorb too much water. All the stuff I've found seems to suggest that this is likely to happen if you don't eat, so I would have thought that as slimming worlders we are reasonably okay - but I think 9 pints is a bit hardcore!!!
I so agree with this - I was going to post but haven't really been up to it!
I deal with a lot of older people, and a lot of confusion is caused by dehydration as they just have the odd cup of tea, and don't drink water like we do.
I know that if I don't drink enough water (2-2 1/2 litres a day) I do wake up with a headache the next morning!:(
And NO it isn't anything else thank you!:rotfl:
On the other hand, do you remember the lady who died last year doing lighter life as she drank the recommended 4 litres of water all at once in the evening?
I think it's OK to drink a large amount, but just spread it throughout the day, and not in huge amounts all at once.

try not to be upsett hon, your bank should sort it out and pay the money taken back into your account within the week, I had my online bank done a few months ago, its such an awful feeling but m bank were very good, they sent me a form to sign just basicly saying that the money was taken and was nothing to do with me, then they sent me a new card, it took about a week to get it all sorted out0 -

I really struggled last time I ate there - everything is 18 syns upwards. I would ask for the chicken salad with a low fat dressing on the side, or no dressing. The starter salads wouldn't be too bad if you ask for the same.
Don't forget to print a voucher off from here before you go!

PS - just checked and most of the pizzas are 18 for HALF!
Here are the salads

I am sooo sorry to hear this Takeiteazy. Similar thing happened to me.. my debit card was cloned similar to alisont. In my case it was the day I got paid and they cleared 1,000 GBP out, 500 at 11.55pm and 500 at 5 mins past midnight so over 2 banking days. This meant a bounced mortgage but I called them and they were ok.
Is the payment to your sons college? If so give them a call and explain, they will understand I'm sure.

Hi all,
I'm new to slimming world and found this thread via google. I have been reading through for over a week now and never seem to catch up!
I am 29 have 2 DD's (6yrs and 4yrs) and have about 3 stone to lose. I'm hoping to be able to do this before I turn 30
I have learnt a great deal from what I have read so far, I helped a fellow SW member with some syns value yesterday, which impressed my consultant especially as it was only my second week.
At my first weigh in I lost 5lbs, and I only have another 16lbs to get to my 10% which I am going to do by Christmas.:D
I think this thread is fantastic reading, and I find you all very inspirational.
I hope you will let me join in and hopefully I can be an inspirational to someone one day too.0 -
Or you can go to this link and use the rrough guide of 20 cals per syn or put it into the calculator!

Morning, trying to engineer as much food as possible for as few syns as i can today! Fridays are a bit of a pain as i have to go straight from uni to work.
First thing coffee(A)
Breakfast 21g All Bran(B), FF activia vanilla
Lunch Quorn bolognaise, WM pasta (2),18g cheese(A)
Dinner WM roll(B), ham(1),10g cheese(A), pickle (0.5)
Will also take loads of snacks with me - bananas, yoghurts, alpen light(B), carrot/pepper sticks.
So that is both A+B and 3.5 syns, will take another 2 alpen lights (6) and a kitkat(5.5) with me. That is the full 15 syns which i dont usually use but will hopefully save me being ravenous at 10pm and eating deepfried chicken or bruschetta. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
