I am absolutly gutted, my online bank account has been hacked and money taken out. Just been crying my eyes out, I don't have much money but what was in there was for my sons college kit which should have gone out this week but hasn't so was really worried it would bounce. Been told by bank it should be ok but my online account has been frozen.
Off for another cry now am so guttered :(

That's terrible, I'm so sorry :( I hope you get it back quickly :grouphug:

Really sorry to hear that - feels awful I know. My credit card was cloned months back but luckily the bank picked it up and froze all my accounts - my credit card one and my current account - got a call on the Monday at work in class to say was i in the USA - someone was tryiong to buy an $80,000 dollar car in the States:mad: since then any large purchases or 1p credit checks they do for mobiles etc get frozen.

Hope you get it sorted with your bank - they are usually very helpful.

At WI tonight I lost 1.5lbs:jpleased with that as had eaten out twice.

Got my first sticker for 7lbs:T

Meeting was good - borrowed a pile of this and last years magazines off the leader for the week - so going to bed to read them I think, will photocopy any good recipes.

Took 3 green peppers from the pepper plant Ive grown over summer for the slimmer of the week basket - looked good with all the fruit.

Must say Im feeling positive about this new diet/healthier eating plan.

Bit worried my book has not arrived form that bookclub and not had any email off them apart from the confirmation order one on 1st Oct.

  • Mine came today but delivery was attempted yesterday. I wouldn't worry, if you haven't heard anything tomorrow maybe give them an email to check if it has been dispatched.

  • hi all

Just wanted to add my 2p worth to the water debate. I read an interesting book and research recently by someone who is of the belief that dehydration is the root cause of a lot of our health issues today. This guy was saying have at least 2l a day, and make it pure - don't count coffee, tea etc as part of your water intake because your body doesn't register it like that - especially not if its got caffiene in it which only compounds the dehydration issue. He also warned of the dangers of drinking too much water (i.e. really stupidly high amounts), and subsequent studying I have done would indicate people who die of (is it called hydrotoxaemia?) do so because the water basically flushes out the salts which are in the fluid around the brain, and once that has happened your body can't regulate how much is too much and your brain cells die because they swell and absorb too much water. All the stuff I've found seems to suggest that this is likely to happen if you don't eat, so I would have thought that as slimming worlders we are reasonably okay - but I think 9 pints is a bit hardcore!!! :o

Scumbags!!! So sorry. Let's hope the bank sorts things out for you as soon as possible. xx
  • Okay, yet another post from me! :o

Has anyone got any ideas what to cook with broccoli? Bearing in mind I'm dairy free. Would it be okay in egg as a knd of quiche thing cold do you think? Any nice soups? I'm a bit loathe to do my usual throw it all in soup - last 2 have turned out terrible!

Also just wanted to check if slimming world still do stuent rate? My consultant couldn't find it, so charged me normal - I'm sure they can't have discontinued that, surely?

    Thanks :)

I am so sorry - my card was cloned a couple of years ago, but I did get the money back. They treat you like the criminal to begin with all the questions but they just have to do their job..... Hugs, :grouphug:
