I am absolutly gutted, my online bank account has been hacked and money taken out. Just been crying my eyes out, I don't have much money but what was in there was for my sons college kit which should have gone out this week but hasn't so was really worried it would bounce. Been told by bank it should be ok but my online account has been frozen.
Off for another cry now am so guttered :(

This is awful, I hope they're caught, though I don't suppose they will be :(

    Hi all,

I'm new to slimming world and found this thread via google. I have been reading through for over a week now and never seem to catch up!

I am 29 have 2 DD's (6yrs and 4yrs) and have about 3 stone to lose. I'm hoping to be able to do this before I turn 30 :)

I have learnt a great deal from what I have read so far, I helped a fellow SW member with some syns value yesterday, which impressed my consultant especially as it was only my second week.

At my first weigh in I lost 5lbs, and I only have another 16lbs to get to my 10% which I am going to do by Christmas.:D
I think this thread is fantastic reading, and I find you all very inspirational.

I hope you will let me join in and hopefully I can be an inspirational to someone one day too.

Hi, welcome to the thread and the Slimming World way of life :) Well done on the weight loss so far.

I would - mine arrived today with the Jamie Oliver and I am going to use my as a present or raffle prize!
You obviously put the code in for the free book, and confirmed it? It should show the Jamie Oliver book on your invoice email.

Yes I put the code in but it does not have the book on my invoice in the box today which seems strange.

OK - it's official - I'm really struggling with eating today.
Had an omelette for breakfast, mozarella and tomato salad for lunch, then homemade curry with a mini nan for supper, and then 2 turkey breast and hovis sandwiches...... I am on my own tonight as hubby is out with the boys, and rather than carry on eating I thought I would come on here for a kick up the jacksie! :D

I still think that the penecillin messed up my eating, and have still got 3 more days..... :(

We are at a party tomorrow night, but I will be driving, then out to friends for lunch on Sunday, so will have to pick my way through!

The thing that is bugging me is until this week I felt so strong, and made the right choices without really thinking, but this week whilst I haven't been too good it has been an uphill struggle.

Hey ho - I feel better now I have owned up and had a moan!!

    :rotfl:
NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........

Hi My book order arrived today but they have not sent the free Jamie Oliver book:( would of been a fab raffle prize for the animal sanctuary/dogs home too.

Will read my book later - planning on photocopying the vegan friendly recipes then will pass it on as dont normally buy meat cook books. My Aunt will love having that book.

Wonder if I should contact them about the Jamie Oliver book?

It would be worth contacting them because my parcel when it came had been broken open, it wasn't very well packed, the books were still in there but only one was in a plastic bag, the other was in the box but not around the book!

What else....? Oh yes, TakeitEazy, that's a horrible thing to happen. I'm sure your bank will sort it out, but it's still a violation.

    Welcome back Marion!!!!!!!:T

Dizzikins: sorry you had a gain .... I can't be the only person to have self-weighed before and after a loo visit ... but there wasnt a noticeable loss :(

Brocolli - I only like it freshly cooked (microwaved as recommended) - I find it turns an unappetising grey colour if it's left hanging around for a day. But freshly cooked it's fab with a sprinkling of sesame oil on it - similar to the recommendation to use sesame seeds, above. Oil or seeds, they're both synned unless you use them as HEB, but sesame definitely goes with brocolli.

Who can't believe lots of potato and pasta will help lose weight? (sorry, I don't know how to do "quote" to multiple posts!) - you don't HAVE to eat them if they bloat you. I rarely have carbs with my meals just because i'm not a big fan, I just have loads and loads of vegetables (I tend to use lentils or beans for bulk, rather than pasta, bread or potatoes). It's your choice on slimming world.

    Slimming love to everyone else.

Mmmmm I ate a fab swordfish steak in the pub today. It came with a giant dollop of mashed potato, but the vegetables were a dish of carrots (yuck - ignored), absolutely flavorless cabbage - mostly ignored, and peas of which I ate a few. But as soon as I got home I ate a great big pear to use that as my superfree :D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
