My food today has been:
B - Porridge and banana chopped up on it
Mid am snack (a hungry time for me) 1 round wholemeal toast with beans/toms on
Lunch - Lentil and tomato soup(free)
Mid pm - fresh fruit salad and a soya yoghurt(2)
Dinner - SW chips, mushy peas, 1 veg sausage(1), purple sprouting, asparagus, leeks, green beans.
Supper (to avoid the Fri night munchies!) Bowl of SW rice pud left over from yesterday with mixed berries on.
On work days I find Im, better with little meals/healthy snacks every 2 hours, at the weekend I tend to have my 3 meals.
Last week Id noticed I was not as thirsty so not drinking as much as I use to so making sure I have a large glass of water each break at work and we have 5 of those a day plus drinks at home. I'm so glad I like water as I dont really drink tea/coffee and cant stand any sugar free drinks, apart form the odd diet coke on a very occasional basis!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Think I will be having lunch at the veggie cafe in Worcester tomorrow, the staff are very friendly there so going to ask them what they do or could do more SW style for me!
I love their cottage pie but will be too many syns possibly, they do the vegan version without the cheese topping but think they use marg in their mash. I also use to like the cooked breakfasts but that would be too greasy now to risk it. Reckon the jacket potato is best bet, but will ask what fat is in the stuffed pepper, might try that without the bread/chips option and ask for just salad.
Here is the menu:

Find it hard working out meals out - use to be bad enough getting the vegan side sorted but vegan and slimming world style is hard!
I always use to go to my fave Mexican restaurant but have had to stop going as its such high fat food there:(Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Hello all,
Does anyone have the recipe from the red book for the bacon, ham and mushroom quiche that is made using cottage cheese too? I tried it at a tasting thing at SW on Tuesday and it was so scrummy and totally syn free so I would love to make it. THanks,

I make this... Mix 6 eggs with a medium sized tub of cottage cheese, add filling of choice, cook at gas 4, 180 C until set
But.... at tasting I tried it made with fromage frais OMG yum or what
Mix 3 eggs with 4 dollops (big eat your pudding spoon heaped up) add filling and bake until set - this puffs up loads but does sink on cooling. Again, add filling of choice.
My fav filling is either ham, mushroom and a grating of cheese OR roasted veg (courgette, mushroom, tomato.. etc etc etc):)Children are born with wings .... Teachers help them to flyOne day your life is going to flash in front of your eyes.... Make sure it's worth watching!!!!!0 -

If I was going there and wanted something free I would go for the jacket with curried beans and grilled veg and a salad and wouldnt have butter, then it would be free.
Or I would have the eggs or veg in curried sauce with rice and assess, if its oily, add syns for the amount of oil you think is in it- but leave the nan and go for rice.
Or the grilled veg couscous and jsut add on the syns for the dressing Id imagine the rest would be free anyway? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Evenin'
A good day for me today:
Apple and 2 nanas for brekkie
100ml pressed apple juice - don't know syns, think its about 4
Wheat free pasta and a 1/4 tin of heinz tomato soup, with sweetcorn for lunch (syns for heinz soup - will look them up tomoz)
afternoon snack: melon & grapes
dinner: made butternut squash soup, with squash, onion, stock cube, that cooked and fresh parsley added then blended and peas, chickpeas, and sweetcorn added in to finish. It was so lovely I ate the lot  Now feel rather bloated. So seriously - I need ideas for how to um..; not go back for 2nds and 3rds. Yes I know we can, but I didn't need to do that - so why did I?!
Had a tea with milk, but apart from that no healthy extras today - hmm. Too full to eat any more. Think I've had enough fibre in the veggies, but will take a multivitamin as I'm sure I haven't had enough calcium.
Syns: well under 10 for the small amount of soup and apple juice - at a guess maybe 6-8.
Fluid intake has been really high and I'm still thirsty - don't think I needed to add that salt to the soup tonight
Tomorrow I am at work all day. I might have fruit for brekkie, a jp and tuna mayo for lunch, and a choccy hifi mid-afternoon (chocolate at work is a danger point for me!). Was planning to take some soup but.. um... I ate it allCould risk staff tea, but its normally syn laden and i'd rather spend syns on something that is nice and not reheated 10 times over  so am potentially a bit stuck for tea hmm. Maybe I'll make a ham salad or something.
Will go to morrisons before I come home as that often has reduced veg. Have looked at the bank account and lets just say I'm giving up on going organic for a week or twoNothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
I had a slip today, my 4 year old has a comfort teddy she has had since birth and carries everywhere with her, well it has been ripped for a while and she asked me to sew it, then asked if we could make a cake to make her feel better, so thats what we did, only I cant resist home made cake....with buttercream ontop! I had 2 bits, it was a very small cake (teddybear mould from poundland) and the bits I had were small but I didnt half feel icky after eating it and its a slip I didnt want to have...ahh well, Il have a low syn day tomorrow to try and make up for it0

Totally agree alisont, I've got an evening wedding reception tomorrow and if I'm lucky I can nibble on crude bits (old friend's interpretation of carrot sticks etc) and maybe skin some chicken drumsticks.
To add to water discussion earlier: I read somewhere about two ways to check hydration levels. Pinch and pull the skin on the back of your hand: if properly hydrated then it will spring back quickly. Other method (and I had thought this might be TMI until all the poo talk). Your wee sould be pale, straw coloured. If not, drink more water to adjust. This seems very genuine as I have had to drink more water since starting SW, must be something to do with balance of foods.0 -
 I appear to have been kidnapped by the food fairies for the last 48 hours :embarasse
I was feeling unwell and a bit down so turned to comfort food. Really annoyed with myself but have given me a big kick up bum and and back with it now.

Next week though I'm going to
a) drink more water (though not too much:eek:)
b) up the excercise - I've been a bit lax this week. I want to go swimming twice and do my DVD on the other days.
