  • So after being referred here by the lovely bettyb I've noticed that everyone talks about having green days.

I've been on slimming world for 3 weeks, well I'm half way through my fourth and I've been following the EE (extra easy) plan as that's what was explained to me at my group meeting.

Should I switch up days between EE and Green? What exactly does Green entail, for some reason I thought this plan was for vegetarians lol.

    Hello all,

    Welcome newbies. Well done losers.

Have just made this cake for our Christmas taster tonight, (thought it was appropriate). I pinched it from the MiniMins site! For a cake that's only 8.1/2 syns for the whole thing it's not bad.

    Christmas bran cake
Syns: 8½ Syns for the whole cake!
    You will need:
5 Scan Bran (soaked in Boiling water)
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tbsp golden syrup
    2 level tbsp mincemeat
5 level tbsp sweetener (or to taste)
    1½ tsp mixed spice
Grated zest of a lemon for extra zing (optional)

Soak the scan bran, then drain.
Mix all the ingredients together and microwave on high for 7 minutes.

Syns: 8½ Syns for the whole cake!

Im not doing a weigh in on the wii fit again :( Had a sneaky look on monday and it showed a loss of 2lbs which I was thrilled with, but after doing half an hour training on there yesterday I did another body test and it showed Id put 2lbs on! done another one today and I have put another lb on so gained 3lbs in the last 2 days! but I have been so good, no chocolate/snakcs apart from fruit and a hifi bar stuck to the plan so Im not hopeful to have lost anything tonight infact if the wii is right I have put 1lb on :(

I really would stay away from home weighing hun :( I was a nightmare for it!!.....getting weighed before and after going to the loo :rotfl: I even went out and got another set of scales when my others were showing dodgy results everytime I got on and off them so I had 2 set in the bathroom at one point  Im banned from the scales now anyway.....OH took the battery out as Im a liability with not being able to balance on my own.....he said he doesnt want to come home to find me in a heap on the floor knocked out :D

I cant imagine that Wii scales are going to be truly accurate anyway....for one the carpet is bound to affect it like normal scales ;) Id just ignore what theyve said and KEEP AWAY :p wait til you go to group and see what those scales say, If you know you've been sticking to the plan....then it will show on the scales (unless you've maybe got *week due? ) x

yes green is vege (but you can have meat as HEB) I dont tend to do green or red days much as I like EE better, but i do green when i'm not eating any meat as it means you can have two HEA ans HEB instead of just 1.

ok i need to add up my syns today, they are all over the place:
    tsp oil - 2
    tsp flora - 1
    tbsp jam - 1.5
    hot choc - 2
Extra milk in tea - 0.5
    = 7.0
    I think that's it! :D

Actually, contrary to what i just said about prefering EE - i am loving this green day! ryvita is a fab 4pm snack

  • Hello

Just thought I'd share my yummy lunch with you - I cooked some pasta in bouillion stock, roasted shallots, mushrooms, peppers and baby cherry tomatoes with some chopped up bacon. Mixed together and ate - it was delish. I always thought I was a 'lots of sauce'!! person but decided to see if Mrs M was right about pasta with no sauce and as usual - she is! :j

Sorry I'm new to this (went to first meeting this week), but if you do EE, then surely salmon shouldn't count as part heb as it's free?

    Thanks
