    Evening all

Today flew by! Work in morning then uni for afternoon/evening. I was lucky enough to have enough time to pop home for lunch before uni. i did make up a packed lunch on pasta with pesto to eat at work but decided to have a more filling jacket spud instead, plus I was a little cold so it warmed me up. Will have the pasta for lunch tomorrow. I can't remember if I mentioned last week that there is another lady on my uni course who is doing SW so we are keeping a check on each other during breaks!

    Green day:

B - magic porridge - oats (HEB), ff yog
L - jacket spud, cheese (HEA), LF coleslaw (3syns)
D - stir fry veg, noodles, black bean sauce (5syns)
Snacks - HB egg, banana, ff yog, cheese (HEA), tinned fruit (HEB), LF creme fraiche (1.5syns)
Drinks - water, NAS squash, fizzy water, coffee

    Total syns = 9.5

Just popping in to post my food!

    EE

B - 28g Fruit and Fibre (part heb) with activia FF vanilla yog, 1 w/g crackerbread with choc quark mix (0.5)

    Elevenses - banana and tangerine

L - Roast Chicken Salad (lettuce leaves, pepper, cherry toms, cucumber) few croutons and a spoonful of coleslaw (3 for the croutons 2 for the coleslaw)

S - fruit salad (melon, mango and strawberries) spoonful of granola (3 as 28g is 6 and there is no way a tbsp is 28g!) and little mini meringues - the equivalent of 1/2 a standard meringue nest = 1.5 ) Bag of WW cheese puffs (4)

D - shepherds pie with carrots, runner beans and cauliflower covered in 1/2 hea of cheese (other 1/2 is milk in tea)

    Total syns = 14

I am very proud of the amount of superfree i've eaten today!! :D

My mum has baked some amazing looking chocolate cupcakes.... i will resist them!! I will!!! I plan to escape to my bedroom with my laptop and ignore their calling!! lol.

I have been v bad since the trouble with my OH with "stress snacking" Its not doing me any good at all! So, i have a new mantra where i allow myself 2 things per day off a list of my fave snacks(got the idea from this weeks Bella mag). So i have made a list compiling of the following (so far)-

    WW Mini Hoops - 3.5syns
    WW Cheese puffs - 4syns
    WW Cheese nachos 4 syns
    Velvet crunch crisps 4 syns
Milky way magic stars kiddie size - 3.5
Mini Bubbly bars from Asda = 3 syns
    WW chocolate mousse 4 syns
    WW chocolate dessert 3 syns
WW Top luxury chocolate dessert 8 syns
WW chocolate brownie dessert 8 syns - these are mainly for sundays when my parents are munching on crumbles and such for dessert!!
6 squares of galaxy cookie crumble - 6.5
Cadbury choc buttons (kiddie size) 4 syns
    Pink and whites 2.5 syns

Apart from the WW 8 syn desserts i can choose 2 of these and still be under syns. My theory is if i know i can have 2 off this list it will stop me spontaneously munching my way through stuff i might forget to count in my stressed out head!! I shall see how i get on :)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

My heb list says porridge with oat/scan bran or wholegrain ryvita crackerbread, I always have the crackerbread :)

Thanks for that. I rarely have cereals so couldn't bring this to mind. I agree though, given the option, I would have Crackerbread too :D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Evening all

Had a stressy couple of days, and have gone over syns today, but have not really eaten much else!! had a bowl of soup for lunch and one for dinner, no breakfast, no fruit.....just biscuits, I am very:mad: at myself:(

I will try and get back on track tomorrow, although I think the rest of this week will be tough. I am looking forward to next weeks EE trial and MRS M's menu:) Although we are off for a day out to Blackpool on Monday!! I will be starting the EE menu on the tuesday.

Sorry I haven't read back, I am worn out and still need to put bread on, wash, sterilise and make bottles, empty dishwasher, fill dishwasher, sort school clothes, and put some bits of my clean laundry away....That doesn't even include the fact that the house could really do with a de-clutter and tidy as it is getting a bit of a tip:cool::o

Could only manage half my plate. Will be an interesting weigh in tomorrow!! Maybe SW should give you a dose of flu rather than the success express?!

I lost 4lb my 1st week & gained 1.5 the next on my 1st attempt at sw. This time around the early weeks were, lose a 1lb gain a 1lb or sts until it kicked in then took the scenic route of 1lb a week [give or take]. I got there in the end though :D.

    Food today:
    B - weetabix milk [a] coffee
L - mugshot, toms, peppers, oaty bar , activia
T - turkey curry [onions, peas, mixed beans, cauli, carrots, passata, curry powder] & rice
Snacks - cuppa- soup [5], apple, pineapple, melon, apple, onken vanilla ff yog.
    Syns - 5

For those interested, dog has perked up this afternoon, back to jumping over those coming home. The other 'ahem' [business] still not back to normal :o but eating normally. Nuff said :rotfl:
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi there - just a quick check in before I go to bed. Everyone seems very up beat:j
I am still deaf in one ear but the penecillin and ear drops are taking away the swelling - I'm hoping for a pop tomorrow and then I will be able to hear again. I so empathise with anyone wioth hearing loss now - it's not being able to hear, it's the squishy alien noises that come from the deaf ear that is so freaky!
Let's hope this is my one and only winter virus!

Has anyone found that flucloxacillin can make you want to binge?? I have had the strange dichotomy of having heartburn and feeling nauseous from the meds, but thinking about what I can have to eat at the same time! I've not done too badly, but it has been a struggle!

Loving all the recipes - I am trying to copy and paste into a word document as I see them and then I don't have to search back through pages to find them again!

    L xx:)
NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........

Had a bettyb/greek inspired meal tonight.
LF Halloumi done on the George Foreman type grill, wm pitta, hummus, loads of salad: tomatoes, chillis, beetroot (not sure if that is very greek!), potato wedges, lemon wedges. Very, very nice and easy (I already had the hummus in the fridge).
Veg box arrives tomorrow so will see what that holds. I have been going through recipe books finding new recipes to make low syn. I love a cooking challenge!
    Good luck everyone,
