Morning. Had a good day yesterday and stuck with my plan. Really pleased as I am finding it hard to not 'disobey' my own rules!

the lamb dhansak from the magazine was really lovely! OH was very impressed :D

    EE again today:
    1 clementine
2x ww toast (HEB) beans and an egg
    2 plums
Not sure about lunch as i'm going out, but likely to be a jacket potato or pasta and salad (prob synned if bought in a cafe)
Ryvita with jam and 1/2 HEA cheese for 4pm snack (other 1/2 HEA is milk in tea all day)
dinner will be spicy lamb with veg, 28g low fat halloumi (3.5) vegetables with lentils and chickpeas, hm hummus and hm mint yogurt dip

PS thanks for the cannelloni recipe - looks amazing! And fairly easy to convert to SW methods. Will be trying that this week!

Can anyone tell me if lemsip or any cold medicines have syns in please? Thanks x

Oh and I also work with young people, young drug and alcohol users. I think when you work with people like young offenders etc, you tend to forget what normal kids are like! I am more shocked at meeting a young polite well behaved kid than I am meeting a young drug using offender!

my husband is a Mental Health Nurse he used to look after young men and so now i assume that most young men on the street in the day have mental health/drug related issues,i work at McD,if i have a bad day at work someone has taken home the wrong burger, its so liberating!

Another green day for me - it was all going so well until late last night (when I'd promised myself an early night and it didn't happen) when a bar of chocolate jumped into my mouth
11.5 syns went to 36.5  I don't even like chocolate anymore....

    B; baked beans & 2 fried eggs
    L; savoury rice & yoghurt
D; yet to be decided - was going to be pasta beans & cheese again, but fancy something else now! Poss jacket pot & cottage cheese or HM burger (Heb x 2) & sw chips.

    C xx

Hey, I don't know about the powders or sachets but I totally recommend supermarket own brand cold relief tablets, if you look on the boxes they have exactly the same stuff in as the branded ones. If you are feeling that bad I would say don't think about syns in medicine, just get yourself well and try and have some fruit and veg to keep your vitamins and minerals up. One of the best things for vitamin C is strawberries so maybe you could treat yourself to some of them, much better than citrus fruit and they are a lot easier to eat if you are feeling shocking. Get well soon!
