That menu looks fab, I will have to have a look through properly, once the squawkers are in bed;)

It looks really do-able for me, thank you. Once I get my head around EE I will have a bit more flexibility rather than being confined to red/green.....although I realise I may actually end up preferring red/green anyway:p It will be a great experiment for me, I just hope I still lose weight on it as I have read a few comments about people not losing as well on EE, or even gaining!!!!!!!!!!

I see from a quick catch up that a few others are interested in the menu too:D

Once I get a chance to read it properly, I may need a recipe or two from you:)

    xx

    What's a fat grabber?!
I did toy with leaving the skin on but then wondered if this would effect the syn content due to it cooking with the fat?
it ...erm... grabs the fat :D just googled and it's actually called a Fat Magnet (we could all do with one, right? :rotfl:) http://www.lakeland.co.uk/fat-magnet/F/keyword/fat/product/11642
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Bob Cat - I read on minimins somewhere that each tablet is 5 calories.. so i'm guessing the syns would negligible. 4 tablets would be 1 syn if you were being strict about it!!

    Today's food - EE

B - fruit and fibre (heb) with milk (hea) followed by w/g crackerbread (rest of heb) with choc quark (1) and a banana

L - Cheese and brocolli pasta n sauce (0.5) Fat free activia (was stuffpuddled after!! - Couldn't eat my fruit!)

D - Spag bol (HM sauce with lots of fresh tomatoes, onion, herbs) with pasta

    S - choc biscuit (4.5!) 3x boiled sweets (3) Bag of WW mini hoops (3.5) and 5 pringles (1/2 syn each = 2.5)

Drinks - sugar free red bull (am getting seriously addicted!), lemonade, water, tea.

Gonna end the evening with a plum, some grapes and a tangerine to boost my superfree! (which to be fair is LACKING today!)
    Total synnage = 15 (phew!)

In Morrisons they have WW crisps for £1 for a bag of 6 - which is cheap as Morrisons is the only place i can get them!! They are usually £1.98 a pack!

Morrisons also have Batchelors rice buy 3 get 3 free and pasta n sauces buy 3 get 3 free! :D

Also they have ryvita wholegrain crackerbread 2 for £1 - SHWEEET!!!! :D
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

Mm that sounds nice, would you mind posting the whole recipe please lbnblbnb?
The original recipe for Leek cannelloni is here:
    http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/617585

I subbed lots of things though.
Cheese sauce: I used cornflour, no butter to thicken it. I didn't add the cream or the egg yolk, although I would have added the yolk if I had had an egg in! Instead of provolone I used half fat cheddar.
Tomato sauce: no olive oil, used a small amount of stock to cook the onion and garlic then added tomatoes etc. No sugar or vinegar.
Leeks: teaspoon of olive oil, no lemon thyme so added some lemon rind. Used quark instead of ricotta cheese.
It was really delicious. It was a lot of faff, but I was in the mood for cooking as it was such a miserable day. DD had two helpings, OH ate loads of it. I would be happy to serve it to friends at a dinner party.

Hi everyone - v v poorly today! had a cold when I was on hols last week, and an ear infection started on Thursday, and gradually got worse till today when my head looked like it had an extension to the side! I have just been to the docs and she couldn't see in as it was so swollen, so am on BIG penecillins and ear drops. She says if it won't go down I may have to let the hospital have a go (didn't ask what that means as I think it is obvious and don't want to think about it!)!!
Work today was interminable, and as it is my first week back I am booked solidly so the usual cry of the self employed is - sick leave? what sick leave??
Am going to wrap myself up in my fleecy rug and watch spooks!
Hope you are all well - brain can't concentrate on the last few pages so please forgive for no personal brick bats.;)

Really busy day today, but I do love working with teenagers! Have to remember days like today when they are being little a****oles.
    Green day
    HEA: milk for tea/coffee
Breakfast: crunchy bran (HEB) and small amount of milk
Lunch: baked spudata with cheese (HEA) and beans from canteen (I resisted the butter)
Dinner: tofu and veg stir fry with rice (olive oil as HEB), small amount of sweet chilli sauce and sesame oil, not sure of syns.
Lost the plot with the syn counting slightly today, but don't think it is too bad. Will have some ff yog for afters.

I was eating my baked spud in the staff room and a woman was eating a box of salad. I admired her salad (lovely bright green leaves and beetroot, beautiful) and she said she would love to have a baked potato but couldn't, then went on about her spinning class. I took it she was implying the potato was the fattie choice! I just smiled. Little does she know......
