Its me again :rotfl:-can't you tell who is on her own and trying to keep out of trouble :p*thing is, even if hubby wasn't on exercise he wouldn't be home yet anyway*

I have made another big pan of my version of [STRIKE]trumpy[/STRIKE] I mean 12 speed soup :rotfl:so that is ticking over on the stove -which will keep me going for several lunches this week and some for the freezer -If I can fit it in :o

the cheese n potato pie is something my mum used to make when we were children -only I have SW it ...its really made with leftover mash -but from scratch its (for 2 servings):-
    • 400g potato -boiled and mashed, beat in
    • 1 egg
    • 1 heaped tsp English mustard -which I have now discovered is 1/2syn
    • salt n pepper
    • 84g cathederal lighter-grated (2heA)
    • 1 large onion -chopped and zapped in the micro
you simply mix it all together and tip into a dish and bake until golden ..and it simply HAS to have baked beans with it :rotfl:-You can adjust to suit so I use spring onions, leeks when I have them that want using up, and the onions are nice if you saute in 1/2tsp oil (1) until golden -but its easier to had the nuked onions if you have littlies ;)
ooohhh and if you leave the egg out and shape into cakes and coat with 1 beaten egg and 28g dried breadcrumbs and bake in the oven you have "cheese n onion fryits" -oohh but you need to poke 1/2 a laughing cow light into the centre of each when shaping nomnomnom.

At least you wont be threatened with sleeping in the attic if you eat Dyno Rod soup while Hubby is away :rotfl:

Im loving the sound of the cheese & potato pie :p......I dont eat cheese very often (not because I dont like it.....I just seem to forget about it :o)
OH lurrrves cheese so Im thinking a green day is on the cards maybe tomorrow....I can see him having a big dollop of HP sauce on the side with his baked beans :D

Keep the juices that come out of the cooking pot. Let them cool, scrape off any fat and use the jelly, with Bovril for a syn-free gravy :)

    Welcome to the newbies :D

Thank you for that. Anyone have any success with syn-free thickening (like potato or something I was wondering?). And, I say syn-fre sausages on the web. Is it true?

Sorry to keep asking so many questions, it's just when I read posts I start thinking. You are such a lovely bunch of losers:p

Mrs M thanks for those meal plans, i will definately be referring to these for 'thin'spiration!!

Just realised I haven't had HEA today apart from a splash of skim milk in tea, so had 21g low fat cheddar sliced on ryvita (1.5 each) with raspberry jam (1.5 for tbsp) total = 4.5 syns

Very yummy and guilt-free, feels a lot better for me than a bar of choc would as a 4pm snack! :) and much more filling!

quick question - can you just use fromage frais for any recipe that calls for yoghurt or cream (or cream cheese if you add some cheese to the fromage frais?) thanks

Hi, just wanted to say thanks for all the positive comments about breastfeeding, I've found public breastfeeding difficult (my family are very conservative and I even have to go upstairs when I feed at mums!!!) so would be mortified if I was asked to stop. It's nice to hear so many people are positive about public breastfeeding.

I have another question. How much is the food directory and the shop to slim books? I want to work out how much I will need to take when I start class again. Unfortunately my consultant from before I fell pregnant no longer runs a class so I'll have to start with a new consultant.
    Taking baby-steps
