Nearly at the end of my first week and apart from a little blip on Saturday, its been ok!

Ive just found out that my butcher does sin free sausages and burgers.
Ive bought the sausages for tea tonight, does the sin free apply just to EE and red?

    Thanks

:(:( Not a good start to my week. Weighed in earlier this morning and the 2 lbs I lost last week (first week on EE) is back on again.

How come? I 've done more exercise last week, stuck to the plan and not one bad thing has passed my lips.

Do I stick to EE or change to original/green. Fed up now.

Um, hate to say it but I found exactly the same thing! I lost 3lbs the week before doing red/green and put on 2lbs last week doing EE.

Am back on green now! NOM NOM!

Yes I have, been there a few times :) On Sundays its unlimited dim sum for 18.95pp but I dont think they include the coconut chicken rice pot in that, they didnt seem to last time we went on a Sunday.

Not that Im encouraging you of course but have you seen this, comes stacked with £10 credit, Im about to post it on shop but dont drop. I only saw it this morning, so when it comes it will do for the next time - Im loyal already ;) The prawn balls are amazing some new stuff on the menu too, looking forward to the lotus rice sticks :)

Yes, well Ill call it flexi, but lets face it I mean " day off". The vodka and lemongrass cocktail is really good as is the cachaca one.

So looking forward to it, the food is SO good.

hope you had a fab birthday Lynz!
I have one of those loyalty cards already, just need an excuse to go into the city and use up all my accumulated points one day!

glad you enjoyed it, shame you felt bloated though.

It was me. Spinach would be great, will try that. I did a version of a recipe I found on line using leeks, garlic and lemon plus ricotta (I subbed quark). A basic tomato sauce and some white sauce with HEA cheese. Very nice.

Mm that sounds nice, would you mind posting the whole recipe please lbnblbnb?

Had a nice weekend with a couple of synful treats (went out clubbing so I like to think i burned off the syns in my cocktails!)
Feeling good and positive today which is nice.

    EE day:
    1 clementine
2 ww toast (HEB) with beans and 1 egg
    1 pear and 1 plum
    carrot and lentil soup
dinner will be the lamb dhansak from the mag

Hi, new person here but feel like I know everyone already as have been following for awhile now! Started SW about 4 weeks ago but losing about a pound or half a week, don't need to lose too much but just want to drop a stone and/or dress size.
My typical day is Syn free rice pudding with FF vanilla Onken yogurt and strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, red berries
Lunch is Miso soup with ramen noodles and veg. Going to try something different this week.
Dinner-Whatever I rustle up, I do have a slow cooker now so making a lot in that.

    Tips I want to share:
Roast chicken in a slow cooker...mmmmm! I removed all the skin from the chicken the shoved it on high for about 5hrs with whole lemons, garlic, potatos, carrots and chicken stock. I know have tons left with extra stock and soup for more meals.

Went to the cinema last night and took Marks and SPencers count on us moose @ 4syns and their meringue nests @ 2.5 and crushed a few of them in the moose.

I am from Leeds and currently trying to source somewhere that will stock syn free meats and sausages. Went to the Farmers Market in Leeds city center on Sunday and spoke to a farmer there who seemed interested. I want to order from Joe's but at the same time it would be nice to have somewhere closer that I can nip into and pick up a few bits and pieces rather than bulk order. I will keep you all posted!

Further back someone mentioned suffering with Thyroid disease? A close friend of mine runs a Thyroid disease charity so if anyone ever needed any info then please let me know and I can send you her site etc. She is a fountain of knowledge and we often do quite high profile fund raisers for it.

It's my first week on SW and I've got my head around fry-lite roast potatoes and parsnips (yum!!!) but I did need to exercise extreme willpower not to eat the skin off the chicken:o. Can anyone point me to what's the lowest syn way of making gravy? I'm not a huge fan of granules, would rather make my own if poss.

Keep the juices that come out of the cooking pot. Let them cool, scrape off any fat and use the jelly, with Bovril for a syn-free gravy :)

    Welcome to the newbies :D

It often happens when you change plans, but give it another week and you should see a difference :)

Make sure you're having the third of a plate of superfree though or it won't work.

I have always told members, that if you know you've followed the plan exactly as you should, you know you'll lose weight - simple as that! Slimming World test the plans for a long time before they publish them......they wouldn't set you up to fail :)

Sorry I forgot to say Happy Birthday yesterday Lynz, but I hope you had a lovely day :D

I have a very yummy butternut squash soup recipe which is quick and easy to do too:-

    Butternut Squash Soup

    1 large butternut squash
    1 large onion
    Frylight
    2 pints hot water
    1 teaspoon curry powder
    1 teaspoon ground ginger
    2 vegetable stock cubes
Very low fat natural yoghurt (optional)

Peel, de-seed and chop the squash into 1” chunks (you can leave the peel on if you wish, it will soften and puree just the same)
Using Frylight, fry the chopped onion for 2 mins.
Add curry & ginger and cook for a further 1 minute.
Add the cooked squash, stock cubes & 2 pints of water
Bring to the boil, and then simmer for 30 mins.
Puree in blender and serve with a swirl of low fat yoghurt if liked.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
