Hi, does anyone know if it's ok to breastfeed actually at the SW image therapy? I'm just awaiting my 6 week check and the all clear from the Drs to go back to SW whilst breastfeeding, but I'm pretty sure the only group I can go to will be during the day when I may need to feed DS. If I can't stay for image therapy I'd rather just use the books I have and weigh myself at Boots as it's a lot of money just to weigh and run!

There's no reason you shouldn't breastfeed in the group, be discreet and most people won't even notice. If anyone was rude enough to pass comment in a derogatory manner, I'd be inclined to ask them what planet they come from.

Be sure to mention to your Consultant that you are b/f and she will be able to give you a leaflet which tells you how many extra HEAs you should have during the next 6 - 12 months :D

    Hey everyone!
I'm going to my first meeting on Tuesday - I'm new to SW but am really excited about starting! I'm going with a friend who has done it before, so feel lucky to have her support and knowledge too!
I've been reading previous threads so have got the basics, and know the syn values of foods I eat regularly. I'm going to start off on Red and Green days and go from there.
Just making the most of my last day and have a huge roast cooking as we speak!
Looking forward to posting more regularly, have a good week.

Hi and welcome to the thread and to Slimming World. Your friend will no doubt have told you how fantastic the plans are, so it just remains for you to get your books, make some menu planners and enjoy your healthy eating campaign :D

Couldn't find that one but they all seem
to be around 6-8 syns on extra easy which surprises me as I thought they would be free!
There are some bean pots that are similar and they are free - can't remember their names off the top of my head!

I know-they seem really high don't they (I couldn't even find them listed on SW)...I have just calculated the indial dahl curry and it comes out as 16syns  -but as I don't know the main ingredient to select as the "free element" -I can't work it out exactly..

    Ok -just found these listed

    Evening all

happy birthday Lynz!! Enjoy your day! :D

Thanks for all your suggestions re my week away with work. :A I don't eat 'mock' meats so that's out, and I no longer like tofu now Cauldron have tinkered with it :(. I like the cool bag idea, should be able to keep things cool enough in my room then, just gotta find a cool bag :rotfl:And I think the AH couscous may be a good idea too. I may be asking some syn values this week!

I gotta say I'm proud of myself today. I met friends for pub lunch, and I chose jacket spud with beans and cheese, and then we went to the cinema and they bought chocs n popcorn and I declined :j:j I could have taken a bag of the Butterkist Light I have in the cupboard but we went straight from lunch so I was full :D

    Green day for me:

B - 2 eggs fried in frylight on HM WM toast (HEB), marg (1syn)
L - jacket spud, beans, cheese (HEA)
D - pasta with HM SF tomato sauce, cheese (HEA)
Snacks - banana, fibre plus (HEB)
Drinks - fizzy water, coffee, water

    Total syns = 1

I am trying not to have many syns today to still balance out Friday night's extra few as I really want a loss this week. This is the stage I normally get to on SW and give up so I really am determined to get with it this time!

why wouldnt it be? i think folk are too hung up about breast feeding,i fed my son til he was 3 and my daughter til she was 2,it kept my weight down and gave me a fine cleavage! result!

i was asked in Asda if i would be more comfortable in the office, and i said,"no,would you?" ;)

I know what you mean about Cauldron - their tofu is all mushy now and the packs are huge! I like the ones from the Chinese supermarket now as much firmer and smaller blocks. I find soya mince does not suit me but do like the Frys range of sausages/burgers.

Wilkinsons had cool bags if you have a store nearby or Lakeland had some on the reduced area last week. Maybe someone could lend you one for the week?

I have had such a yummy dinner, feel quite stuffed. Leek canneloni was lovely, although a bit fiddly, and the baked fruit with vanilla yogurt was pretty fine, not quite crumble but hey!
Back to work tomorrow, busy week. Need to keep on track. I am now a stone lighter than when I had to be weighed when I went to the doctor in the US in the summer. Of course it isn't on the same scales, so not certain I have lost a stone, but I am taking it as a victory! My clothes are getting looser. Most of the weight seems to have gone from my stomach, it was getting to middle pregnancy proportions. I wore a top last night I haven't worn for a while and looked good. More to lose, but it is gratifying to begin to see results.
    Good luck everyone this week,

It's my first week on SW and I've got my head around fry-lite roast potatoes and parsnips (yum!!!) but I did need to exercise extreme willpower not to eat the skin off the chicken:o. Can anyone point me to what's the lowest syn way of making gravy? I'm not a huge fan of granules, would rather make my own if poss.
