good afternoon
Im making a rhubarb and apple crumble today so Im trying very hard to keep the syns down, Il work out how many it comes to when I have made it, oh and to make it worse were having it with custardHas anyone made a crumble slimming world friendly?
I was making crumbles for others a couple of weeks ago (it's easy for me as I'm not a fan of anything with flour in) but to be on the safe side I used sweetener rather than sugar. I did have some blackberry & apple mixture left over so I popped it into a dish, whisked up an egg white and stirred in sweetener, piled the meringue on top of the fruit and hey presto an almost- free (had to syn the b-berry & apple) almost-crumble. It was lovely.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

I've been really super good this week, hoping for a loss come Tuesday after 2 weeks gaining in a row (still ill with sinusitis and also TOTM this week so not good at all). Despite me being good, counting my syns and weighing my healthy extras I feel really bloated and feel a bit like my tummy is bunged up, does anyone know a good way of getting rid of the bloat?0

Oooh i found a yummy sounding soup for those winter months - i've tweaked it to make it free on Green and EE!!
Spiced Lentil and Butternut Squash Soup (serves 8)
1.5 litres vegetable stock
200g Dried red lentils
200g Total 0% Greek Yog
1.5kg butternut squash
750g ripe tomatoes, halved
6 garlic cloves, peeled
1 small carrot, diced
Olive Oil Fry Light
¼ - ½ tsp dried chilli flakes
2tsp ground cumin
2tsp ground coriander
2tsp paprika
Method
Preheat the oven to 180/gas 6. Place the peeled, deseeded and cubed squash, tomatoes, garlic and carrot in a large roasting tray (you may need to use two trays). Spray with Olive Oil Fry Light, sprinkle with the spices (add the chilli according to how spicy you like it) and season. Cover with foil; bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelised.
Transfer the vegetables to a food blender or processor and pulse in batches, with a little of the stock, until combined into a smooth mixture that still has some texture.
Return the soup to a clean pan; add the remaining stock and bring to the boil. Add the lentils, reduce the heat to low; simmer for 20 minutes or until the lentils are tender, stirring often and adding a little extra stock or water if it becomes too thick. Season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Ladle into bowls and serve topped with a dollop of yogurtIt looks like it could be vegan friendly too if you omit or subsitute the yog!!
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

Right guys I need your help. sorry if it's a bit rambley!
The week after next I am going away Mon-Thurs with work. We stay in a hotel and have all meals catered for . So it will be dinner Mon, B/L/D tues and weds, B and L thurs.
- Breakfast will be ok as I can have WM toast with eggs/beans etc or cereal.
- Lunch is normally a packed lunch - sandwich/fruit/yog/biscuit/pop.
- Dinner - cooked meal, not much input can be put into it, but as I'm veggie I do speak to the chef to see what is available so could try and have more SW friendly stuff.
I work with difficult teens/young adults, me and a colleague will be supervising 15 of them between us. We do a lot of outdoor pursuits this week so need lots of food for the energy etc.
My 2 main difficulties will be lunch and dinner. I can do mugshots for lunch instead of the sandwich on days when lunch is had back at hotel (even though I don't like mugshots!), but at least one of the days lunch will be up on a mountain! Dinner is normally accompanied by chips and some veg, the kids normally leave the veg so I can steal that for me!
I will not have time to prepare a separate meal option for me as I am literally on the go from 7am til midnight during this week. The most I'll be able to do is boil a kettle for the mugshot etc.
I go on these trips 3-4 times a year so need to find a SW way to make it work.
I was thinking of taking a bag of fruit, mugshots, alpen lights (I prefer fibre plus but you get 2 alpen's so it's a better option), bottles of water, squash. There is a small fridge in our accomodation there so could take some yogurts but the kids may steal them from the fridge :rotfl:.
Can anyone think of what else I can take that is easy to prep, fills you up for long, and veggie?
Cheers

Hi everyone - I'm ba-ack! We had a fabulous week in Cornwall and stayed with friends in Cheltenham on the way home (she is one of the Loose women so it is a different world they live in!) and back to reality now!
Have just weighed in and have stayed the same!! I feel like a drum role as we really tried to stay to plan so am quite happy!
Have tried to keep up with the thread on my BlackBerry but it became a bit much so well done to all the losers, and hugs to those struggling!
That Lentil and butternut squash soup looks good, and I have tracked back to the hummous recipe and can't wait to try it!
hey ho - onwards and downwards!

PS - I've never been on holiday and stayed the same before!!NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0
