    Evening all

I made a yummy snack earlier. In my pre-SW days one of my fav meals was nachos piled with salsa, cheese and sour cream . I tried to re-create this SW stylee and it worked out quite well. I used a pack of WW tortilla crisps (4syns), homemade salsa, HEA of cheese and 1 tbspn of sour cream (1.5syns). It was very yummy. Not a huge plateful but enough to satisfy the craving, and for only 5.5syns :D. I'm going to have SW chips for tea.

    Green day

B - 2 eggs fried in frylight on HM WM bread (HEB), beans, marg (1syn)
L - jacket spud with salad, mayo (1syn)
D - SW chips, LF salad cream (1.5syns)
Snacks - cheese (HEA), nachos (5.5syns and a HEA), kellogs fibre plus (HEB)
Drinks - water, coffee, fizzy water
Exercise - 2 hours walking round shops

    Total syns - 9

Good morning all - just tried ordering this book, have put in the code but no mention of free book or bag - have got to 'choose a delivery' - anyone had the same trouble?

I did this too - I added it and did the updates but the free books not on my order - have emailed them to ask about this!

Cumble - ooooh! Can't think of a way to keep the syns down as cooked fruit is synned. As for the custard, I love the vanilla fat free yogurt so would have that instead.

I made the hummous, used consultant31's recipe then added a teaspoon of sesame oil (must check syns, possibly two?). It is DELICIOUS!! One of our favourite meals used to be homemade hummus with loads of salad in a pitta with potato wedges on the side. Can do that now, syn one pitta (or can I have one wholemeal one as a HEB? It isn't on the list on the website, but I am sure I read somewhere that was possible?).
My stevia arrived today, will try it out tomorrow (can I come up with a fruit crumble idea? Have lots of fruit in the freezer and cooking apples coming on the tree) as I am going out for a meal tonight. Here is the menu:

Reckon I will ask for a salad for starters, then have the squash and spinach tagine. Pudding: eek! May try to have none, or at least a fruit salad type one. Difficult to think of a SW friendly one! I will be driving, so will stick to spring water all night. Any advice for restaurant puds ladies?
    Have a good day everyone,
    Liz x

Mmmmmm crumble - cant think of a way to make it low syn:(

Can I ask where have you got Stevia from as Id like to order some:)

I just have fruit salad or no pud, am usually ok as places dont do vegan puds but dreading going to a veggie restaurant or festival as lots of puds on offer and I wont be able to resist!

    Enjoy the meal!

I had a moment of weakness today in the form of the new milkshake bar that has opened in Birmingham - got as far as the counter and found out they do vegan shakes - then he told me what was in them - pint of soya milk, soya ice cream and for the choc one - half a pack of bourbon biscuits:eek: luckily I saw sense and had a water instead.

Must be about 100 syns in one of those shakes!!!

On a more positive note pleased to work out syns in my soya cuties which are a vegan ice cream sandwich snack are 6.5 so I can have the last 3 at some stage as a treat - maybe 1 a week.

    My green day today was:

B- baked beans, toms, mushrooms, 1 vege sausage (1 syn)and 1 slice wholemeal bread

L - Chinese out - they did me boiled rice and tofu/vege dry fried with soya sauce, then large fruit salad.

D - jacket spud, bbq baked beans, big salad

Might have more fruit/soya yoghurt or rest of yesterdays rice pud if hungry later, and not worked out syns yet but maybe a small glass of wine later.

Came upon this recipe today and thought it might make a really nice, special occasion pud :-

    Baileys Mocha Syllabubs

    10 minutes + 2 – 3 hours chilling time

    1 tsp instant coffee
    7 oz / 198g quark
    2 pots toffee Mullerlight yogurt
    4 tbsp Baileys liqueur
    2-3 drops vanilla extract
    3-4 tbsp artificial sweetener
    ½ oz / 14g cooking chocolate.
    Cocoa power to dust.

    1. Dissolve the coffee in 1tbsp water. Whisk together the coffee, quark, Mullerlight, Baileys, vanilla extract and sweetener.
    2. Spoon the syllabub mixture into 4 desert glasses. Chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
    3. Meanwhile melt the chocolate. Take a spoonful of chocolate and drizzle thinly over a piece of baking parchment in four separate decorative patterns. Allow to cool and chill in the fridge till set.
    4. Remove the syllabubs and chocolate swirls from the fridge. Decorate the syllabubs with the swirls. Dust over the cocoa powder and serve.
    Freezes well.
Syns per serving = 4 on all plans
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Thanks Owl

What do you do for breakfast and lunches? Also on Fri and Sat, what do you do for the 1/3 superfree, have fruit?

I would love to do a whole week to try it, but I seem to mess up when just trying 1 day at a time.....I'm thinking that if I do a whole week I might actually get to grips with it....sort of like a crash course;)

    Loving your sig btw:D

Moody Mel - sorry, didn't know you needed lunch ideas too

Soup: Tomato and Courgette this week
Blitz carrots, onions, celery (peppers) in food processor, fry in frylight, add carton of passata and then fill thecarton with water and add that. Add herbs and stock cube. Chop courgette and add that. simmer for a bit. Take in a flask or heat when needed

    Tomato and Lentil
Chop onion, celery, carrot bung in pan with passata (and carton filled with water) add handful of lentils, chillis, herbs and stock cube. When veggies and lentils are cooked, blitz. Take in flask or heat as required.

Then, this week "pudding" at work is half a pineapple (chopped) and an apple. So loads of superfree snuk in.

Fri superfrees hide in my chilli - mince, onions, peppers, mushrooms, carrot, celery, chillis, tomatoes

Saturday - I have a massive brekkie with mushrooms, tomatoes and egg on. Luc=nch will be full of superfrees and pudding will be raspberries or frozen summer fruits.

So, I tend to hide my superfrees so I don't notice them but believe me they are working (in the bathroom dept!!!!)

    HTH

Ps - I like my sig too - I think it sums me up, I help them fly!!!!
