My OH feels bloated after my Quorn chilli Nicky. When I make it without the kidney beans he's fine. Maybe try that?

Can I be really cheeky and ask if someone could check the syns on something for me? It's not in my directory and as am not at classes anymore I can't use the calculator. Typing it into google is bringing up differing syn totals.

It's Sharwoods 2 step Biryani (coconut & curry leaf)

I'd love to know per jar which is 432g if it's on the syns thingy online but if not this is the values per 100g:

    Energy - 229kj/55kcal
    Protein - 1.0g
    Carbs - 6.4g
    of which sugars - 3.2g
    Fat - 2.8g
    Of which sats - 1.4g
    Fibre - 1.3g
    Sodium - 0.40g
    Salt equiv - 1.00g

Thank you v. much in advance :)

  • Right my coconut essence arrived this morning so now on the hunt for the thai green curry recipe using it!!
I worked last night, feel awful, so very tired, even after a sleep but resisting the urge to attack the bikkie tin!!!

Did you get the coconut essence on ebay princess kate? I was looking and one shop also had chocolate essence, which sounds right up my street!

I'd love to here if the coconut is nice/accpeptable substitute for coconut milk. I was thinking of using malibu and fromage frais.

Back away from the biscuits! :D:D There's nothing in that tin for you :rotfl::rotfl:

I've not come across a specific recipe for the essence sub and last night just used the milk and essence mix as a straight swap for the coconut milk in a standard recipe if that helps until you locate it.... and it was really lovely, you couldn't tell the difference.

  • This milk isnt goin to curdle is it? And is thai green paste free? used to make it the "normal" way but if this works it will be a yummy addition to my meal plans!!
And yes I got it on ebay, ordered it yesterday afternoon & it arrived this morning!! 2 little bottle, around £3, will this be free? Im tired & confused so can't think!
Chocolate essense...oh my!! That sounds like it could be yummy!!
