Morning all :) Am peed off - had a sneaky peek at the scales (usually weigh tomorrow) and it's only showing a lb loss. I don't mean ONLY but after being naughty for a while and then being so rigid I was hoping for a good loss this week :( Honestly while all around me have been scoffing pies and cakes and all sorts of naughtiness I have been so good. I only had one bit of cake this week and that was on my daughters birthday otherwise I wouldn't have had it. I baked it myself and worked out all the syns so didn't go that far over my syns :(

Its my * week this week so hoping that's interfering with it. Would anyone mind taking a peep at my food diary see if they think I've gone wrong somewhere just in case? Is it possible I'm eating TO MUCH fruit? So down now and know I shouldn't be as it's still a loss.

Sometimes you see a loss a week behind being extra good so please don't lose heart and the * week will deff have an affect to your loss as ladies tend to retain some water at this time of month. My OH was really good for 2 weeks and didn't see a loss but kept at it and then the 3rd week it seemed to kick in. It works the opposite way around too if you eat a lot of naughties one week and still lose but the wk after is dissapointing even though you've been good.

I would say.. WELL DONE on a 1lb loss during * week.

    Morning all

Had a good day yesterday (EE) Eggs on toast, pasta and HM to sauce and shepherd's pie for tea - 8.5 syns in all.

I had a sneaky peek on the scales yesterday as well and I've definitely lost something but official WI is not 'til tomorrow morning so I won't tempt fate!

    Today will be EE again:
Br: Eggs or beans on toast.
L: Pasta and tom sauce if I have any left in the freezer, otherwise pasta and pasmesan
T :Sweet and sour pork and rice. The recipe I have (and like after a lot of searching) is a bit high synned but I think I'll just tone down the vinegar and sugar (I don't like artificial sweetener either), oil, pineapple and sugar will be syns.
    Sk milk and fruit.

    Have a good day everybody

Day 2 of no bread. Yesterday was good, I suprisingly didn't crave bread like I did the previous evening.

I've not got much in today and I don't want to go to the shops as I'm having a food delivery tomorrow morning so.

    Today - EE
    B - 2 ryvita (half B) feta (half A) tomato (F)
    L - SW carbonara again (F) salad (F)
D - Sausage casserole (12) Steamed veggies (F) maybe some rice for some carbs to stave off bread craves (F)
Snx - nectarine & yog (1) 2 ryvita (other half of B) feta (other half A) tomato (F)

I found some pork and apple sausages lurking in the back of the freezer so will use 2 each for the cassserole as they are a whopping 6 syns each, but I don't have anything else to use, so so be it. OH can have the other 2 tomorrow.

Also ... WELL DONE :j:j to the losers so far this week you have done brilliantly!! :grouphug: to those who need it.

    Good morning all

Well done on the losses again ladies :T

Have to say that my cheese n onion "fryits" were nomnomnom last night -and cold it tasted like cheese n onion pasty (without the grease) :j

Well I have opted for another green today... so the meal plan is looking like this:-
    • rice pudding (1/2 A + 1 syn)
    • mixed berries
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1 cheese n onion fryit (1/2 A + 2 syns)
    • baked beans
    • melon
    • activia (2.5)
    • jacket potato
    • cottage cheese
    • lettuce
    • cucumber
    • tomatoes
    • carrot
    • peppers
    • onions
    • beetroot
    • gherkin
    • 250ml semi (B)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
    • fibre plus (B)
So thats my 2A+Bs plus 6 syns accounted for... and I will see if I need any more syns later...
We need to nip out and do a top up shop when hubby finishes work -so I will stick the potatoes in the remoska on the way out and they should be done by the time we get back ;)
It will soon be weigh day -should be interesting as I haven't been able to make it to the gym all week :T -but I reckon these aches should have gone in time for a new week starting on Monday....

Just in case anyone wants it:-
    cheese n onion fryits

    makes 4
    1. 400g peeled potato
    2. 1 large onion -finely chopped
    3. 4 spring onions -chopped
    4. 1 heaped teaspoon English mustard
    5. 84g cathederal city lighter (2xA)
    6. salt n pepper
    7. 2 laughing cow light (3)
    8. 1 egg
    9. 28g dried breadcrumbs (5)
    • boil the potatoes, drain and allow to dry off -then mash
    • zap the onions/spring onions in the microwave until soft
    • beat the onions, mustard, seasoning and grated cheese into the potato and leave in the fridge to chill until firm
    • divide into 4
    • shape into rounds -then poke a hole in the centre and fill with 1/2 a laughing cow light
    • cover over with the mash and re-shape into flat rounds
    • chill in the fridge
    • dip each one into egg and then the bread crumbs and then chill until needed
    • then just drop on a non stick sheet (I use a silicone liner) and then bake at about 190 until golden -(I didn't flip them just in case they collapsed)
so for 2 cakes you are looking at 1heA and 4 syns on EE/Green ...and if you wanted to do it on red then you could use 2 x 227g jacket and count half the mix as your heB -but you would have to steam or bake them first, scoop out the middles to mash (and eat your skin for it to be a heB ;))

I was going to use another heA each and put mozarella in but I thought about it and as mozarella doesn't have much flavour I changed my mind (and saved an A to boot :p)
Bet you have never known anyone get so exciteable about something so small . I reckon they would be a good family meal for those with littlies ...if you can bring yourself to share them ;). We had 1 each with home made wedges and baked beans, and it was plenty -although I did eat my second on cold later mmmmmmmmmm

Right I had better get off and make a shopping list *that I will no doubt leave on the table when we go out* :D
    Have a lovely morning all.....

    :)

A lady in my group put on 6 1/2 lb on her star week and was devastated as she had been really good. This week she lost 8 1/2 lb. So I think everyone's body reacts differently and if you have lost a pound despite this then next week you are more likely to see a bigger loss. Someone told me to look at loss per month not per week as it is more representative of where you are really at

    hi all

I would definately reccomend consultant's hummus recipe - it's fab!

MrsM thanks for the cheesy potato recipe - they sounds lovely -might have them for lunch one day using leftover mash.

Just popped in to say i have made a lovely leek and potato soup - I am dead impressed with my soup-making skills this week!
so my plan today (EE) is:
frosted wheats and skim milk (1/2 heb and hea)
    soup (free)
2 ryvita with laughing cow (other 1/2 heb and 1/2 hea plus milk in tea) 1.5 syns for the extra ryvita
then....chinese buffet! eek! am aiming to stick to lean meat in clear sauce and lots of veg and plain rice. If I have anything too synful it'll be sesame prawn toast (only a lil bit) and marshmallows with choc sauce for dessert. fingers crossed i can stick to the plan when surrounded by crispy beef and friend rice! I'm sure i will tho - i'm not a huge fan of chinese food anyway.

    happy friday everyone!
