So a total of 69.5 syns for the week. Leaving some room to sneak in the odd sweet thing if I need to! Lets see how this works out. Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Hello everyone, and can I say before I forget that I think Dizzy, Mrs McCawber and Consultant should have been sainted while the pope ws over here, they are so patient, and kindly, and explain everything over and above the call of duty :A. I confess I sometimes find myself growing impatient with people who (a) don't take the advice offered, (b) can't be bothered to look back two pages but would rather someone else look back for them, (c) want others to invent all their meals for them. Sorry for mini rant, but we are nearly all working and don't have a lot of free time, and I sometimes feel if you are pc-literate enough to find this thread and post on it you are pc-literate enough to use the search box at the top of the page or google something. I realise I'm probably the only meanie on here, but we are all MSE-ers and time is money, definitely one's spare time is! Sorry, rant over, and not aimed at any particular person.

Now, I have either made a terrible miscalculation or I have saved the sanity of crisp-lovers doing slimming world. Sainsbury's be good to yourself 35% less fat cheese and onion light and crunch snacks. Hardly trips off the tongue. I can't find them listed in syns so I've done 2 calculations, one using the pack size and one using 100g and it comes out the same 1.5 syns per packet!!!!! :D(4.5 on original)

    per 100 g = 448 Kcal; 4 g protein, 66.6 g carb, 18.4g fat, portion size is 21g bag.

The salt & black pepper version is the same syns, and they come in a multipack at about £1.25:T

I think they are actaully on the website ( I have no access) and are 4....

i hope you are right and im wrong!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

  • have been shopping now so no excuses for not being oranised for a few days. am also going to try having some honey every day as apparently that can help weight loss???

You do know honey has to be synned, don't you psychopathbabble?
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

Bummer if so! I've searched and searched both in the syns online and within the online diary. I can find some 25g packets at 5.5 syns (so your 4 would make sense) but they aren't exactly the same thing, not according to the title anyway but maybe SW doesn't enter the full name of the branded goods. Oh well it was nice while it lasted, I'd better break the sad news to my workmates tomorrow :rotfl:

wow gizmo thanks for sharing your meal plans, I'm not too shy to say I am going to be copying you a lot this week and in the future!
I love making meal plans but it's so easy to get stuck in a rut - so pinching somone else's ideas can really help mix it up!

I got used to it on OS Moneysaving and if I take the time to type it I have more chance of sticking to it. It is now stuck to my fridge with kids old ABC magnets that spell out SLIM.

    Evening all

Alisont -you could slice your mars bars and freeze -then you can just have a wee bit at a time... and could you bash the biccie up and sprinkle it on a nice creamy yoghurt -again to make them last longer and to spread the syns out.

Well my pasta dinner was yummy -I have amazed myself at how much 50g (dried weight) of pasta actually is -I struggled to finish it
Hubby got in from golf about an hour ago and went back out for a gyros... and as nice as it smells -Im still really not interested in it:jI have pilfered 2 fries though....
think I will get my ryvitas, cheese, a ginat pickled slug and my iced coffee mmmmmmmmmmm
    have a lovely evening all

Thanks - thinking Il give the biscuits bars away at work as they are not my fave choc so can go without those but the 2 remaining mars bars I want to keep freezing slices is a good idea:) at the mo Im off choc seeing how long I can go as hoping my body will detox off sweet things over time. It only took about a week for me to get over my bread/toast/crumpet obsession!
