    Green day for me today.
    HEA1 milk for tea/coffee
Breakfast: pudding rice, vanilla fat free yog, peaches
Lunch: Curried lentil soup, HEAB1 HM wholemeal roll (57g), Activia snackpot
Dinner: Squash stuffed with spinach stirfried with garlic and ginger, HEA2 42g of Feta/Reduced fat cheddar, haven't decided yet, and potatoes of some sort (probably wedges).
HEAB2 1 Alpen Light, 1/2 tablespoon olive oil in spinach etc for dinner.
No syns at the moment. We have some hummus in the fridge (one of my biggest temptations) but I could have it on my roll at lunch maybe? Must syn it, not just scoff the lot!
    Good luck everyone,
    Liz x
EDIT: Houmous is 4 1/2 syns for 28g, so will go for that.

just tried the pudding rice vanilla onken and banana - was ok but a bit too sweet for me so early in the morning
will try it with half vanilla and half natural - love the fact it was a free brekkie without being bacon and eggs :)

    Morning all :D

Im struggling again at the moment but I did sit down yesterday and plot my weight losses each week from now until Christmas which if I stick to, I shall lose a stone :j. Have some time off work soon so going to delve through all my SW mags and plan lots of recipes and ideas to try :T and I also vow to be better prepared - i.e. prep fruit / lunches the night before :D

One of our members cooked up some pasta for our class this week and served it with a yummy synfree tomato based sauce. I have never been a big lover of pasta but really enjoyed the dish and have decided to introduce more pasta dishes into my menus because apart from being so quick and easy, it will give me more options certainly for my lunch menus.

What is your favourite pasta dish/recipe ? I quite like the idea of cooking some pasta and serving with roasted veg (peppers, onions, corgettes, mushrooms etc) with a tomato sauce base made up of Sainsburys Chopped Tomatoes with Chilli, garlic and onions. poured over the top. Mmmmmmm

Good morning world -hope we are all well :D

Its another cold and sharp day here -mind, yesterday morning when I opened the curtains it was that foggy that it looked like someone had whitewashed the windows  -we are only just in autumn for heavens sake.... I do love autumn though :p

I have decided that today is another green day and looks like this:-
    • don't fancy brekkie yet -so I will add on if I change my mind ;)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 12 speed soup
    • melon
    • cheese, onion n potato "fryits" (*2Bs*+2.5syns)
    • *42g low fat cheddar*
    • *42g mozarella*
    • baked beans
    • melon
    • activia lemon yogurt 2.5
Now that uses my 2A+Bs and 5 syns..... I will add to it later if I use more syns

the cheese n onion "fryits" are an experiment -so the plan is to do mashed potato with softened onions and spring onions, a dollop of mustard in -let it go cold. Then Im going to shape into cakes (2 each) and stick 21g mozarella in each.. then coat in egg and breadcrumbs and bake ..... pinkies crossed they work .... If not then in future I will just stick to cheese n potato pie :p -if they work I will post the recipe later ;).

Hubby will find out tomorrow if he has to go on exercise on Sunday (they like to give lots of warning ) -if so he will be away until the following wednesday -so I will have 11 days to amuse myself :T . It also means that if he IS going then when we go shopping tomorrow evening I will have to buy as much of the heavy stuff as I can -so I just need to nip out for a bit of fresh stuff as and when,

right I had better get off and get a cuppa.. have a lovely day everyone and keep at it -we are another day closer to target :j

You just described one of my fave pasta sauces :D
I just chop fresh over-ripe tomatoes, onions, red peppers, garlic and 1/4tsp oil and plenty of seasoning and throw it all in the remoska and then let it cook right down so it goes thick n sticky. then I just toss in cooked pasta and serve with some fresh parmesan.
You can adapt the recipe to use up the odds n sods in the fridge... so I add salami and chilli to hubbies etc

this is what i do Eric, and we had it last night,if i am flush or its on offer i buy passata, and if not (normally) i mash a tin of chopped tomatoes and chuck in some garlic and chilli, lazy of course! ;) its real good and i then i chuck in whatever meat we have lying around, although if i'm short of syns for that day, chorizo is great in it! innit? :rotfl:
  • Morning everyone.

Another cold dreary morning for me too MrsM it has finally stopped raining after 3 days of constant drizzle :(. However I am with you, Autumn and Spring are my favourtie times of year, all crisp and fresh.

WI = -0.5lb so better than expected.

Day 1 of bread cold turkey. Last night I was getting anxious for some toast as it has been my routine :o but I resisted and had 2 ryvita with quark and feta instead as I had a A left and I was perfectly fine I didn't die or anything :rotfl::rotfl:

I also got out my cookery books and made a list of SW friendly recipes for me to try so I don't get bored... my mouth was watering whilst doing it :rotfl:

Today (EE) I am going to stick to EE for the next week and not chop and change.

B - Smoked salmon and dill omelette (off the recipe list) - was lovely too.
L - SW carbonara with a big side salad
D - Thai chicken green curry with veggies - I am either going to try the philli version or the milk and coconut essence version so it will be v low in syns as no coconut milk at all.

    Snacks - Ryvita (B) Feta (A or syned) 2 x fruit and yog (1)

With the fruit, lunchtime salad (which will be half a plate) and the veggies with the Thai I should achieve the 1/3 superfree.

Next recipe to try is Pork Yuk Sung and Chicken satay on Saturday for a chinese extravaganza.

Have a good day all xx

p.s. WELL DONE TO ALL THE LOSERS.
