Only just found this thread so hope you don't mind me joining in.
I am one of the "typical" stories with SW, did it years ago and lost a fair bit with it, but still had alot to go. Got bored with SW and decided other "diets" looked better and since then have lost and put on the same 2 stone for the past 2 years.
3 weeks ago I realised i was at the top of the "putting the 2 stone back on" and decided enough was enough and I was going back to what had worked for me in the past and doing SW again. I do not go to class and have signed up for the three months access to the website but to be honest apart from access to the syns I do not like the website, I find the "food diary" really bad and TBH i do not plan on keeping up my subscription at the end of the 3 months.
I am hoping you lovely people on here can help me and make sure I am doing "things right". I tend to follow the EE plan as it fits in better with my BF and eating with him.
My downfall is bread, I love the stuff and if I have any of it my will power seems to go out the window and I end up eatting slice after slice of the stuff even when I am not hungry- toasted with cheese (low fat cheese so I suppose that is something :rotfl:). I am therefore determed to stay away from bread in the evenings so HEB is something for breakfast or lunch.
Can I post my "food diary" for comment on here or is there somewhere else I should be doing that?0 -
Hi
Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place. I'm thinking of doing Slimming World. I did it years ago with my Mum and it really suited me. The thing is I don't have any of the books or information anymore. I'm not keen on going to a class and when I look on the Slimming World (bodyoptimise) website they only seem to sell the books with a 3 month online membership (which I don't mind too much), a magazine subscription and a couple of other things. I wondered if anyone knew a way to just get the info online without going to a class?
Thanks
Gwenx
Hi Gwen and welcome
If you are not keen on attending the group, would you maybe go for one week just ot get the books and information...or you could look on ebay, but they do seem to be pricey on there!
Aside from here, there is a site called minimins which is also a good source of information. Between here and there you could find out everything you need to know to follow the plan successfully:D

eeeep first weigh in day for me, wonder how I have done, Im not expecting too much tbh as I have been so full of cold all week I have pretty much just sat on my bum the whole time lol
I have just had the rice pudding for brekfast, boiled the rice in water then mixed in a toffee muller light yoghurt and topped with sliced banana, was nice but does anyone know any other yoghurts that are free? I dont mind the muller ones but I wouldnt say I really like them
Will go green today I think
HEA will be milk for teas
Bfast - rice pud made with muller yog and sliced banana
Lunch - Chicken (HEB) pasta salad
Dinner - not sure yet, will get something when back from WI maybe jacket spud or scrambled eggs
Snacks - as much fruit as I can face, have plenty of yoghurts and I have a dime bar to enjoy tonight after WI
Hope everyone has a great day0 -

Hi littleoldme and welcome too...
Feel free to post your food diary:D More knowledgeable people than me will be sure to check it over for you...
I have pretty much avoided bread since I started 5weeks ago and I feel so much better for it.... I have had maybe 2 slices of toast and two bread rolls in all that time:)

Morning all,
Feeling a bit better this morning, less upset but very very daunted by the amount I have to lose.
Thank you all so much for the kind and supportive comments, it means so much when you are feeling this low. Im just going to try and do my best and come on here for the support as well as class.
I want to do a cottage pie tonight, Ive looked on the SW website and they do one with a swede mash, I want to do a normal one for all the family. Can I have this on EE? My mince is very low fat, I use carrots, onions and oxo. No butter or milk in the mash so would that be ok to have with veg?0 -

welcome to the madhouse
I was a realllll bread head before SW!!!!!! but I decided to go cold turkey and cut it out completely as once I started on it I couldnt stopPlus it does me no favours at all and bloats me terribly and gives me awful tum problems.
It took about 4 days of going nuts for the stuff - but I actually dont miss it at all now (wierd as I could easily eat half a loaf of thick warburtons before)
I have Fibre plus bars as my HEB now (fab for the choccy cravings too) or occasionally weetabix......but I darent try bread in case I get the taste for it again :rotfl:
Post your menus on here and ask as many questions as you want.....there is always someone who can help if you're stuck0 -

Try to set smaller goals and not concentrate on the total weight you want to lose, maybe start by thinking about getting down into the next stone - it feels good when you see a lower number on those scales! Also try planning your meals in advance, when I was losing my weight I found this very helpful.
Have a good day - you CAN do it. x0 -
Well, went back tonight.
Totally devastated:(
Im at my very heaviest Ive ever been.
So fed up, have'nt stopped crying since I got inTakeItEazy wrote: »Tell me about it!! What made it worse for me was the consultant doing the biopsy was a parent at the school I work at. Bless him he did ask if I would prefer someone else to do it but as I was already undressed and as he was working on the opposite end to my face he wasn't likely to recognize me in the playground :rotfl:

morning Ebaybaby, Im glad your feeling better this morning
your cottage pie sounds yum and yes will be fine to use mash potato and have it as an EE day, if you serve it with some veg on the side it would be perfect as then you would be increasing your superfree
Hope you have a good day0
