i hope our group does a christmas party! im starting on my homemade gifts this week so would tie in nicely :)

actually you've reminded me of my plan to knit little red socks and pop a jar of herbs in for my contribution to the "Slimmer of the Week" basket in the weeks leading up to Xmas. I could do one for next week as it's "pretend" Christmas :D

Ebaybaby, please don't cry! You've taken the first step toward losing that weight. From now on you are on the slimming world plan and it will be down ..down.. down.. truly as long as you stick to it. Big hugs.

Just to say please don't be upset.
Last year between July and Dec I lost over a stone and this year I have put it all back on again. This has really got me down as I was so pleased at having lost some weight and I don't for the life of me know why I let it get out of control again.

But now I've decided to get stuck in again because all I can do is start from now. All we need is determination and we can do what we want to do.
There is plenty of support on this forum - thank you confused57 - and I feel even more determined today than when I (re)started on Saturday. I'm going to give it my best this time and you can as well.

Good luck to you and everybody!

nd the heaviest you ever will be! it's onwards & downwards from here. You can only be upset if you're heavier in 3/6/12 months time - but with SW you won't be.

I will NEVER go back to my heaviest weight - yes I've been lighter than I am now but have pulled myself up and got back on the waggon before I make the same mistake I did last time (pile it all back on and then some!)

    It's all good :D

Great thing about knitting, Bex, is it keeps your hands and mind busy and you don't want to get chocolate/bacon/grease on your fingers :D

SO SORRY that you are so upset but like others have said already it's all DOWNHILL from here!!!

You have done the hard bit by getting on those scales tonight. Follow the plan, stay to image therapy and stick with us on here. There is so much positivity it will surely rub off.

Dry your eyes and get reading that book and you'll be fine!

    Good luck. x

It has become my favourite Christmas meal dish instead of flesh!
I have an old tattered page from Good Housekeeping from years ago.
I think if I use filo instead of puff pastry it should be low in syns. Must check how many syns chestnuts are, to be honest I have left them out in the past so could do so again if they are high in syns.

Thank you for that sounds yummy! Vegan too as I can use soya milk for a glaze. I shall look up chestnuts as they are I believe the lowest fat nut out of them all, nice and christmassy!

Talking of Christmas Im dashing into club this week half hour early to get weighed before going to a 40th do - curry night. So I wont hear about the party. I always dread and avoid bring and share events unless its a vegan one. I wont be able to join in as such and am not comfy at non veggie/vegan shared meals/food type events so will find it a bit tricky.

Will have to go as part of my group and I said Id stay for meetings but must say if I wasnt missing this weeks meeting Id be thinking towards not staying after weigh in which is very 'bah humbug' and anti social of me i know!:o hope Im more in the party mood/mode by next week (its my grumpy time of the month this week:rotfl:)
