Thanks to dizzy and others who helped with the
LIDL Greek Yoghourt syns saga ..

    I cannot believe I missed a 0 off!:o
Yes it is a BIG 1000g bucket. What I do is spoon out a portion for myself - a small sundae dish or ramekin size. I then add sliced fruit or eat by itself. I will weigh the amount tomorrow.

The amounts of protein, fat etc were for a 100g portion though as listed on the container.

It is delicious stuff and I prefer it to ice cream and definitely prefer it to those disgusting Muller yoghourts. They just taste so artificial and this Greek stuff is just what it says, no preservatives, colours, E things. I can eat a Muller if I whisk it up with some Quark but I have to be quite desperate.

I have been totally fed up all day again, wondering whats the point and why I am bothering. :(

But why? Do you want/need to lose much weight?

If not, then don't try, don't put yourself through something you're not happy doing.

If you do, then reinforce that - make a list of the pro's & cons. If you do but don't like SW try another plan (you'll soon see the pro of SW!)

Sorry if I'm missing something? Hugs, C xx

Edit: Sorry I've just read your sig for the first time. Are you on AD's for depression? You've been through a lot losing your dad this year so please don't be too hard on yourself. Depression is not an easy thing to fight, but it is possible. Been there, will be there again probably. :grouphug:

Nicky, when I look at what you have put you don't seem to have really taken advantage of the extra easiness of extra easy, so for lunch you could have had some couscous or some rice or some pasta in or with the soup to be more filling with fewer syns. And with dinner you could do some sort of potatoes to fill you up more. :D

Yeah i kinda realised when i was going over my plan after tea. Still new to this extra easy malarky so i'll happily take all the advice i can:)

    Hey nicky :)

I have a 2 and a 4 year old driving me crackers today too! for the rice pudding I did a bit of an experiment to see if I could get away making it just using my days milk allowence, turned out really nice :)

I used 70g pudding rice, 250ml milk, 7fl oz water, 2tbsp sweetner, half tsp vanilla and a sprinkle of nugmeg. I boiled the milk, water, sweetner, vanilla and nutmeg then put it all in oven for 50 mins :)

Thanks hun, it sounds lush. Both me and my 3yr old love rice pud and it would deffo help solve my dilema with not wanting to use all my HE's for breakfast. I'm off to tesco tomoro so i'll have to pick some up.

I know someone said all ww yogs are free, are the ww fromage frais free too, the ones with fruit at the bottom? Thinking of getting these as i'm not a huge fan of mullerlights. What other yogs are free?

    Hi

    Green day today:

    Hea: Sk milk (hea).
B: Toast (heb) and marg (2) and pasta with dsp parmesan (1).
L: Carrot and coriander soup from 100 green recipes book and bread (heb) and marg (2).
T: Quorn sausage casserole (1.5) and rice.

Should be OK if I can a) resist the biscuits I've bought for the kids and b) resist stuffing my face with noodles when I get fidgety some time this evening.

mummof5 - I have a constant battle about whether to commit myself to SW and get rid of my weight once and for all (which I know it will) or try and teach myself a "normal" attitude to food without any rules which I would really love to do.
I have done a lot of shillyshallying around with this one but at the moment I have taken the decision to follow SW, lose the weight and then work on my attitude to food. I just have to be strict with myself or I'll never get anywhere!!

    Have a good day everybody
Your decision to follow SW is the best you could have made - by doing SW your whole attitude to food WILL change (mine has). As you say you know it will get rid of your weight.

Good luck - you can do it!!!

It has become my favourite Christmas meal dish instead of flesh!
I have an old tattered page from Good Housekeeping from years ago.
I think if I use filo instead of puff pastry it should be low in syns. Must check how many syns chestnuts are, to be honest I have left them out in the past so could do so again if they are high in syns.

I am sorry you are feeling so low hun. It sounds like you have a lot going on at the moment and forgive me, but I hear someone being very very hard on themselves. I know when I get depressed that is one of the signs, I don't give myself a break! Things I would support a friend over I beat myself up about.
Sorry if I have misunderstood, but I will be thinking of you.

  • Just a quick check in whilst we are in a wifi zone from our jollys in Cornwall.
Have resisted the cream teas advertised everywhere the eyes fall, and syned a medium cornish pasty.
Being a pastryoholic on the 12 step plan I was amazed to find that I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected....
    25 syns worth!
We researched and chose wisely as I knew it would be my one and only!! The thing was home made with lean steak, and the boy who served us was massive - a testament to his own pies!
I have had a couple of ice creams but we are walking for about 4 hours each day so don't feel too bad!
Am keeping a food diary which is interesting as just being away from your usual stuff really adds syns to every day foods.
We are having a fab time and I am lurking by BlackBerry when poss so feel like I am still SW even though on hols!
Just a quick thought about eggs - are they superfree? I thought super free were free on red and green and they are? If not is it because of the cholesterol?
Hope everyone is doing OK - am trying to keep up but you guys can really natter. I am trying to read the last 2 pages every time I check in....:)
Hey ho - Back to holiday mode!!
    Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow!

    Hi

Yes I do need to lose quite a lot. I am 4 ft 7" and currently weigh 11stone 5lb. I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and Ankylosing Spondilitus (AS) all of which I am on medication for. See post #1524 on page 77 of this thread which I posted yesterday about the weight situation and Dr.

No worries about sounding harsh, not on antidepressants just muddling through, up one week down the next. Apparantly I was referred in March for counceling (re Dads passing) but not heared nothing yet but I was told theres a long waiting list.

THANK YOU for reading and sorry to go moaning on about it again. :o
Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

Sorry hun, must have missed your post - will go back & read up.
We're here to moan at - I'm the best at moaning you'll EVER get and if SW wasn't second nature to me (it bloody should be after 8 years!) then I'd be right with you there (it's why I don't do EE - it wasn't invented when I started this diet :o )

If you want to eat something 'naughty' then give us a shout and we'll find a way to make it friendly with a few tweaks - I've just stuffed myself with bacon cheeseburger & chips & not a syn in sight - gotta love this diet ;)
