Am wondering how to hit the choc cravings - am vegan so cant have the options or choc mousse puds.
Might have to resort to grating a cube of dark choc over my rice pud!
Trouble is once I start with choc It's hard to stop so at the mo am not having any - have got 2 vegan mars bars in the choc tin (pre slimming world) going to work out the syns for those and that should put me off:rotfl:
I keep thinking how can I lose weight eating this much but of course its the right foods now:)
Today have had
B - porridge and berries
Mid am - beans/toms on 1 toast
L - left over free pasta bake and tofu and salad
D - SW chips, beans, tomatoes, onions and garlic mushrooms (basicaly sliced mushrooms with minced garlic - Waitrose lazy minced frozen garlic, done in the microwave with veggie worcs sauce!)
Got a portion of syn free rice pud for later and have had my usual fruit during the day.
I really dont feel Ive lost weight but have had to go in 1 notch on my belt today which has to be a good sign!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

No chinese is fine!
Most of the chinese I have are about 5 sysn with boiled rice! ( on ee)
In the green booklet page 68 theres loads under 6- but heres a selection:
beef & black bean 5, chicken & mushroom 5.5 beef & mushroom 4.5,
Chicken chopsuey noodle 5.5, chicken chowmein 7 sweet & sour prawn 7, chicken oyster sauce 4.5
Careful the sweet & sour in batter is 17.5 and weirdly beef with waterchestnuts OR onions or peppers is 12 ???.
I dont get that! :rotfl::rotfl::cool:
Boiled noodles free
plain rice free
Chinese is a great takeout choice on SW, a helluvalot better than PIZZA :eek::eek::eek::eek::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

a lot nicer! I had a SW bar the other day it was really not good, very fakey flavoured I thought. Hifis are lush really! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I have cooked up the pudding rice ready for tomorrow morning's breakfast. I have vanilla fat free yogurt and blueberries in so it should be yummy!

Hello everyone.
I too dread weigh day... I'm always aprehensive about putting weight on.
My day was nice and easy... chunky veggie soup, for lunch and dinner, still some in the pan for tomorrow. Toast and marmite for brekkie.
All this talk of rice pudding has made me want to give it a go. Since being on SW I tend to have more of a need for a sweet treat after dinner so that would fit in lovely.... maybe some grated choc and choc powder too (synned obv). It is short grain rice I need to get isn't it?
It's going to be a green day tomorrow and I think I will also get my sewing machine out and make some new cushion covers for the lounge and bedroom - that should keep my snout out the fridge for a short while :rotfl:
Hope everyones evening goes well... speak to you tomorrow xx"People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
Am thinking of filo dishes instead of my usual puff pastry en croute veggie Christmas meals
Might have a trial run with the filo, perhaps at the weekend.Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

My roll making experiment worked perfectly. I used my usual wholemeal dough recipe for the breadmaker, then I weighed out the dough in 65g lumps, made it into rolls, they came out at 56g! So yummy. Smaller than you can buy really, but so much nicer and seem more substantial. I won't bother to weigh the dough next time, now I know that quantity of ingredients gives me 9 rolls of the right size I shall just do it by eye.

Well done Liz, pre SW I always used to make my own bread, it tasted sooo much nicer.
Do you use just normal wholemeal flour?
I'm going to make some rolls too and pop them in the freezer."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -

Thanks very much to everyone who said they get nervous too - it DID make me feel better!
Although I was shaking as I queued up to get on the scales
I lost 6lbs at my 1st weigh-in so I am very pleased as I went out for a meal and also to a party :beer:0
