Ebaybaby, your post sounds very much like my first! At the time I was really upset with my weight in more ways than I had even really acknowledged to myself and the kind people on here made me see that. I didn't look at my weight at the time but have since found it out and discovered I started at 2 stone 1 pound heavier than I had ever been in my life before I had my son. Today I reached that 2 stone 1 pound goal. I'm now back to my all time previous fattest but I couldn't be more positive. I've gone to group every week, thrown myself into the diet and lost every week. All because I remember how I felt the first night I came on here. Remember how this feels, start the plan with gusto and never look back, rahter feel proud of leaving that person in order to become a new person, the journey is exciting, challenging, satisfying, interesting and all manor of other feelings but I wouldn't go back to being that original poster again. I still have probably 6 stone to lose but I have mini targets along the way (1 stone 4 pounds to be what I was when I fell pregnant with my son for example). I'm looking forward to it. I hope all the positive comments on here help to show you that how you feel now is the reason you joined SW and the reason you'll keep going.

Ok chinese might not be too bad but I think mine was :o I had mushroom chow mein but it came in a deeper dish than normal so was probably double the syns . I had 2 spoons of special fried rice + a couple of bits s/s chicken hong kong style [without batter] plus all the onion, peppers & pineapple in the sauce as hubby don't like them :o:o oh and 1 chip :p
Gonna flexi today and back on the wagon tomorrow. Must plan meals for when we get home from work, thats been the problem tonight. Trouble is I'm home 1st & had so much to do that food was last on list. :o:o:o:o:o

can you put aside a bit of time at the weekend, or one evenong to do a bit of batch cooking? Or instead of making one shepards pie etc...it is not much harder to make a few and then shove them in the freezer to just take out before setting off for work....then bang it in the micro when you get home. As it is aproaching winter yo ucould also dig out/invest in a slow cooker prep the veg, meat etc before bed, then chuck it all in before you go to work and dinner is ready for when you walk in the door...no standing cooking after long days at work:D

ebaybaby - hope you're feeling a bit more positive this morning. I completely understand where you're coming from on this because when I went to SW I lost just on 2 stones but it took forever. Then I stuck where I was for about 6 months and couldn't lose an ounce.

I could have given in and gone back to my old ways (but I prefer eating the SW way and feel much healthier) so I left group but carried on at home. I was ill in the summer and wasn't able to do as much walking/cycling as usual and this led to me puting on nearly half a stone. But I started EE last week at home and lost 2lbs of that so it's a start.

You sound so sad but as others have said, this could be a fresh start for you. Please don't fall into the trap of thinking you are at your fattest ever and start eating everything in sight. A friend of mine does that and she always regrets it because she just gets bigger.

I bought a SW mag last week & they featured the actress who used to be the receptionist in Casualty. She has gone from 24 to 12 stones and looks and feels fantastic. So it can be done. It has taken ages but she has completely re-educated herself.

    We'll all support you!:T

    Hi

Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place. I'm thinking of doing Slimming World. I did it years ago with my Mum and it really suited me. The thing is I don't have any of the books or information anymore. I'm not keen on going to a class and when I look on the Slimming World (bodyoptimise) website they only seem to sell the books with a 3 month online membership (which I don't mind too much), a magazine subscription and a couple of other things. I wondered if anyone knew a way to just get the info online without going to a class?

    Thanks

    Gwenx
