Good morning all.... hope everyone is well....<
that is my sad face ... why? well I sat down to my dindins last night thinking "cornedbeef hash n lumpadings -here I come".... I stuck my fork in and made a start- and, well b*gger my old boots if I haven't gone off it
.... whats that all about
!!!!!!! -now according to hubby it was just as scrumdiddlyumptious as always....
I can't believe how much my tastes have changed ....as I mentioned yesterday - in the last 23 weeks I have had NO :-
- chocolate -apart from the fibre plus bars
- bread
- crisps -had 1 pack of french fries but couldn't eat them
- pastries
- sweets
- cakes biccies
- takeaways
OH well - I don't suppose its the end of the world.. but Im also amazed that my appetite seems to be shrinking... and Im less focussed on food-
Im wondering if Im actually begining to have a relationship with food that a "naturally thin person" has - just thinking - "ok, now Im hungry what shall I have?" rather than "oh my god its 7am and what will I have for brekkie, lunch, dinner?" ... it will be interesting to see if this lasts or if its just a temporary thing....
I think that because I always have plenty of basic ingredients in I am able to relax because I know I can soon whip something "on plan" up and because I simply no longer buy anything that I consider my old "danger foods " *see the list above* I can't get hungry and just stuff it in....
oohhhh what a deep n meaningful start to today..sorry folks....
Well my red meal plan for today is looking like this:-- 28g oats (B)**-1 ryvita
- 250ml semi (A)
- 1tsp syrup (1)
- banana
- salmon fillet
- 110g rhubarb yog (2)
- 1/2 8" home made yorkshire pud (4.5)
- nobbies
- carrots
- cabbage
- cauli
- melon
- nectarine
- 250ml semi (A)
- 1tsp camp (0.5)
I know it looks a bit odd -but Im just eating what I need/want -so I only fancy salmon on its own -then this evening -Im not bothered about the brisket n gravy that I will be doing hubby with his....
righty ho -after that strange post I will get off and get my salmon... have a lovely day all and keep at it!!!-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hi everyone
Haven't been on the last few days, just didn't seem to have the time. Can't believe how quickly this thread moves, I've a lot of reading to do to catch up.
Weighed in this morning (I actually forgot to yesterday!) and I've STS:( I'm quite disappointed cos I've been out walking (2miles) nearly every day, and I've been pretty good on the food front - at least I thought so. Ah well, maybe next week I'll have a decent loss. I've decided to change to Green this week, I've been sticking to Extra Easy since I started 6mth ago, and I'm wondering if I just need a change, but Red always leaves me hungry.
B: 2weetabix and milk (A+B)
L: soup and 2 slices of w/meal bread (f+B+4)pasta and tomato sauce
snacks: fruit
I've really got to push myself to drink though, I could go all day without a drink and I know it can help my weight loss.
Have a great day everyone0 -
This is my first week on SW and I'm easing myself in gently, trying to get my head around how I need to change my cooking/shopping/mealplanning habits. Would anyone be able to answer me this? I usually put wine in a beef casserole, if I do will the syns be the same as if I was just drinking the wine straight or will it make a difference if it's cooked? I have the same question about sherry in stir fry. Also is it true that if I thicken it with mashed potato or instant mash powder that will be free on EE?
Am enjoying the thread, you are a really friendly lot.0 -
going out tonight after weigh in - indian restaurant so i have to be careful
think i have already figuered out my menu though
plain rice
dahl (5 syns for 350g but this is for chickpea dahl - do you think it will be the same for lentil dahl?)
tandoori chicken (9 for 340g)
and diet coke
i think that works out fine as have only had 1 syn so far today
what do you think?0 -
Afternoon sw'ers
I have been out at a friends house all morning, she is also following SW. We have had a good old chat about it all and I have managed to give her a few hints and tips for some cheapy meals, it's been a lovely morning:)
Today's Menu
B - Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Tomatoes (3 syns)
L - HM veg soup, 1/2 snack a jack (1 1/4 syn)
D - HM Burgers, 2 w/meal baps, cheese, white choc quark over bananas with a ginger snap crushed on (1 HEa, 2 HEb's, 3 syns)
I hope the burgers turn out ok, this will be the first time I have done them, although I have made my own meatballs before and I suppose they aren't much different, just a different shape;)
Right baby needs feeding and then a quickstop at the shop before collecting the older boys:)

Hi
Green day today:
Hea: Sk milk (hea).
B: Toast (heb) and marg (2) and pasta with dsp parmesan (1).
L: Carrot and coriander soup from 100 green recipes book and bread (heb) and marg (2).
T: Quorn sausage casserole (1.5) and rice.
Should be OK if I can a) resist the biscuits I've bought for the kids and b) resist stuffing my face with noodles when I get fidgety some time this evening.
mummof5 - I have a constant battle about whether to commit myself to SW and get rid of my weight once and for all (which I know it will) or try and teach myself a "normal" attitude to food without any rules which I would really love to do.
I have done a lot of shillyshallying around with this one but at the moment I have taken the decision to follow SW, lose the weight and then work on my attitude to food. I just have to be strict with myself or I'll never get anywhere!!
Have a good day everybodyAugust Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Hi all, mind if I join you....again?
Im going back to SW tonight after a horrendous (but tasty!) few months. Im going to get a huge shock, I know by my clothes, but Im feeling so down lately and Ive started having anxiety issues, which I know is all down to my weight and how I feel about myself.
Got to get back on track and try and shift this once and for all0 -
Afternoon ladies
Maman - yep, wine and sherry are the same syns if you cook with them as they are if you drink them...
Moodymel... don't know if you have any yoghurt, quark etc -if so I stick a couple of TBSs into 1lb of mince (along with the usual herbs etc) when making burgers, it makes them lovely n juicy
nice to see you back ebabybaby-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
