Well look how big this thread is already!
I went home to my parents over the weekend and had bread overload! Everything else was pretty good but I think that has made me a little bloated. I had a lovely time. Went into Lakeland and looked at the butter buds but for £4 for 40 it seemed too expensive for my liking so I resisted.
Had couscous for brekkie and just had a jacket potato and beans and salad for lunch. Have 2 carrots, an apple and a red pepper to snack on this afternoon, mmm. I have low fat sausages in fridge that need cooking by today so think I will cook them all and take them in for lunch for the week too, delish!
Well done to all the losers
Hi, thanks for your advice. I think I will go with the group option as it will give me more motivation. Thanks againAFD 0/310 -
Hi all
Could someone do a syn calculation for me? I forgot to pick up the password for the site last week. I get too distracted with the weigh-in!
It's a jar of curry sauce:
1/2 a jar (225g):
115Kcal
2.6g protein
15.9 carb (9.5g sugar)
4.4g fat
The main ingredient is tomatoes. I'm on EE.
Thanks!0 -

just back from physio.....very disorientatated travelling today and my travel bands and anti emetics did jack to help the nausea:( I feel like my good ear is 'full' and my balance is worse than crap......am hoping this is just a blip and that maybe ive just got some sort of bug affecting my one good side
Ill see how I am in the morning.
On the plus side it means I'm banned from cooking duties till I stop being stupid
OH is making nice juicy RED DAY sirloin steaks on the griddle pan with toms & mushrooms & onions with a HEB worth of potato wedges for me & sw chips for him. nomnomnom
Ive still got a HEB to use so it will be my usual Fibre plus bar at 8pm ish with my last cuppa and the old faithful penguin wafer 4.5 syns :A tho if i feel a bit fed up later I may add 3 cubes of dairymilk bubbly 3.5 syns to it.
(had the left over cottage pie with carrot n swede top for early lunch before hosp....that was just as nice today as yesterday;))0 -
Yes thanks hun xx have had a hospital appointment this morning for them to look at my hand and its not good they are going to try one more steroid injection to see where we go so I have to go back in on Friday for that and the anastethic ( bet im not allowed to eat first, have to check that one!)
I am a bit wobbly emotionally about my hand as basically they said its got a cyst in it (??) from the damage that has been caused to my hand and its sending everytihng out of synk plus tensonivitis (sp?) basically means the tubes for the tendons to run through are all still inflamed even with this massive amount of rest that I have had with it ( very little lifting & carrying and no driving etc) a year later and its not really any better
Is a bit scary but Ok. I did feel the need for syns when I came out of the hospital as I was just peed off but I got a second alpen lite fudge flavour and it made it a bit better.
I wouldnt blame you at all for what youve eaten over the last week or so. Isnt it so amazing how food/ emotions are so linked The minute I feel down or stressed only a packet of biscuits or crisps can really lift me. Obviously it doesnt make sense, rationally, does it?
Hugs Lynz, i'm sorry to hear you're having such a time of it. you've got such a positive attitude and honestly, a few extra syns, in the grand scheme of things, isn't going to be a problem. hope things go well on Friday - i'll be thinking of you!!! xxxx
it is funny how food is linked to emotions, my rational side is that food is fuel for the body but i love pretty much all food, regardless of whether it's junk or not. but in the long run, i know eating everything in sight isn't going to help me or make me feel better even though it's so much easier to eat a takeaway (no preparation) than it is to homecook! x"I believe in manicures. Thank you! I was hoping it would be less because it's mainly tomato. Oh well!0 -
I think I've perfected a low syn chocolate cake that is just goooooorgeous. So thought I'd share
(This is adapted from the recipe on slimmingeats.com)
Chocolate and cherry cake
3 eggs, seperated
60ml splenda
1oz cocoa powder
a couple of tablespoons of fat free fromage frais
raspberries or cherries
Whisk the egg yolks with the splenda until creamy. Add the fromage frais and whisk. Seive the cocoa powder in and blend to a chocolatey paste. Set aside.
Whisk the egg whites until stiff.
Fold the chocolate mixture in gently
Poor into a cake tin lined with baking parchment.
Bake in a medium oven for 20-25 mins or until cooked through. It will sink a bit when taken out of the oven.
Serve topped with the raspberries or cherries and with light aerosol cream if you can bear more syns (it's worth it!) or with more fromage frais if you're being good.
4 syns in total if you don't have the aerosol cream!0 -
Hello hello Everyone - I'm back after my month off plan and am determined to make it work for me this time.
Have put on a pound and a half but really deserve to have put on more.
I'm going to try and do 4 days 3 EE days each week to see if that works better for me than all green.
Today was green
HEA - Milk x2
HEB - Weetabix & Fibre Plus Bar
Breakfast = weetabix, banana and milk.
Snack = Apple x2 + 1/2 Fibre Plus Bar, options hot choc (2)
Lunch = Salad & AA Couscous, banana, muller light
Snack = 1/2 Fibre Plus
Tea = Spaghetti and quorn bolognaise (2)
Quark Cheescake (4)
Banana
Yes I know - 3 bananas - but they were only fun size ones
Still very hungry so I can feel some couscous with muller light coming along
Was supposed to be going to the gym tonight but have an awful headache (eye related - long story) so am going to give it a miss and pop on the wii for a little while this evening0 -
Just weighed out my 28g cheese for HeA, was going to have a Tbsp sour cream as well as it is only 1.5 syns but it is mouldy:( Trying to do what others do and use my syns for proper food instead of junk!
Had an apple, FF Activia and a kitkat as a snack earlier.
So i am at 5.5 syns so far today. Dinner is nearly ready, will only have a little chilli as i dont want to use too many syns. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
