Evening all! I really need my green book to arive at my club - need some recipes!
Today was
B- Porridge and berries
Mid morning - 1 wholemeal bread with beans and toms on at work
Lunch pasta with a bolognaise sauce made with de fatted soya mince and veggies.
D - jacket spud and beans plus salad.
Had a banana, grapes and a satsuma for snacks.
Might have a soya yoghurt later 2 syns if hungry
Been invited to a work friends 40th next week - my first meal out:eek:
It's at an Indian restaurant I've not been to for years and it's a 3 course meal. I might just say I dont want the 3 courses just have a main and rice. I shall just have a vege curry with channa in and boiled rice will have to find out how many syns that is. Typically it's on same night as my SW class - Il ask my leader this week if I can go early to weigh in but as class is 7.30pm and so is the meal if not earlier I think Il have to miss class. I shall go to the area managers class near work on the Wednesday instead to get weighed.
I am down as a shift worker so could have a week off but only being a week into the diet I want to go to a class for my weigh in!
Does anyone know the best Indian vegetarian meal to have? I love rogan josh and always ask for no ghee/dairy as vegan, need to find out how many syns rogan josh or vege balti have in them!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

I am still plodding along on my Body Optimise online. I can't remember whether I mentioned that my DB and DH have started to buy me a 'sharing' bag of Maltesers every day!
They are doing it because I won't join them in a glass/bottle of wine every evening. DB is paying for the wine and sweets as a treat/favour for us. Over the last few nights they have opened the bag and left it next to me on the sofa and last night. It is so difficult to avoid eating some.Last night I eventually gave in and had 5! I was trying not to have the 15 syns but to have fewer as I had a lot on Saturday.
They also keep putting a glass of wine in front of me. I suppose it makes them feel better. I am managing to avoid drinking it and last night DH actually listened and made me redbush tea. I went way over my milk allowance though!
I'm quite annoyed on your behalf here, the last thing you need is people trying to derail you! So unhelpful. Try and stay strong and resist, and hope they get the message!
Evening all

Hi everyone - and big hugs to Daydream Believer:grouphug: - you are in a hard place now but you can only get better! It must be hard with the friends around you not seeming to take you seriously but you have us!!
Had a good day today foodwise - have just done a roast chicken dinner with broccoli, carrots and jacket spuds. Used the just bouillon gravy powder so must go and syn it. Seems very decadent for a Tuesday night - it's just that the chicken needed cooking!
Was at the opticians today for my contact lens review, and was whinging how much I am needing reading glasses now:cool2: ( everybody who is thinking poor old dear - just wait! This time last year I didn't need them at all and laughed at my Mum holding things away from her to read them.....:rotfl:) and she has changed my prescription to one reading eye and one long distance eye - apparently they work together without me knowing.... I've just changed them and it's weird but haven't got my reading glasses stuck on top of my head now!
Hey ho,
L x:)
Just Bouillon gravy powder is 1 syn per heaped teaspoon and 4 made a nice gravy jug so I would say I had 2 syns worth. We have a fab gravy boat that has the spout going to the bottom so if you use the chicken juices. it doesn't pur out any fat which floats on the top. I love it. Amazon has them in http://www.amazon.co.uk/CKS-T307-Gravy-Fat-Seperator/dp/B002G6C5WC/ref=sr_1_12?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1285093844&sr=1-12 and they are much nicer than the plastic or stainless steel ones.NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -
blackberry-rum wrote: »Depending how much milk you use in your tea/how many cups a day you drink, why not measure out half your milk and then weigh 14g of cheese, and split them that way? I don't think it's "legal" but as long as you don't cheat ......? and you could use low fat cheese and get 28g iyswim.
My consultant says you're allowed to split HEs if it works for you.
I always drink at least 6-8 mugs (...counting in my head... 7 so far today) with skimmed milk... I've not idea how much milk that is but I do have it strong and dark. I've always just assumed I use my milk up because of that amount of tea I drink. Perhaps I should measure out how much I really drink... but then I drink it at home, at work and when I'm out and about so it's hard to know. Agh!
Edit: measured it... 25ml per mug. So thats 175ml so far... hmm, I could syn that. Would it be 3 syns?0 -
Hello everyone,
DDB - as said before, plenty of support on here. Sometimes friends care so much they find it impossible to say the right things, I know that sounds stupid but it's true, try not to be too disappointed in them.
Welcome to all newbies. Congratulations to all losers.0
