Skint Catt, I ALWAYS do my pasta and sauce with water only ( never using my milk allowance) for it.
I usually have chicken and mushroom or the tomato and herb ones and you cant tell ( i dont think!) that there is no milk ( or butter, or marg) in them.
Few days off plan ( stress related eating) but back on today as Im feeling really tired and i know exactly why ( bad food)
So need the extra energy:
Today has been frozen summer fruit ( partly defrosted:D) and banana and Onken ( if anyone buys these frozen summer fruits they are on offer 3 for a fiver in tesco atm)
Lunch will be I dont know as Im out but hoping to get a salad or beans, mushrooms egg somewhere 2 x alpen lites for snacks
Dinner is roast chicken and veg- b squash beetroot, parsnips, green beans and gravy ( 3)
Drinks will be water ( taking bottle with me for Monrysaving) and diet cokes I guess
hope i can stick to it today -really need a "good day"for once to kick start me! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Morning all! WI tonight. Hopefully will be ok, went over syns yesterday but had a few days where I was well under so over the week it should average out.0

Quick post to share my menu for today.
Having a GREEN day and here are my choices....
Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs (free)
2 slices warburtons wholemeal bread (400g loaf) HEB
Toffee hi fi bar HEB
Lunch:
Ainsley Harriett Lentil Dahl (free)
Tea:
Not completely decided but expect Jacket Spuds and beans and 28g Parmesan (HEA)
my other HEA for milk in my tea and my hot choc planned for later
snacks throughout the day:
nectarine, peach, orange
syns
Options hot choc 2 syns
Have a good day all and hugs to those who need them :grouphug:
EDIT
My option$ hot chocolate was yummy and really hit the spot. Much more of a chocolate fix than a 2 finger kit kat which would have cost me 5.5 syns instead of the hot choc at 2 :j
Ive decided Im going to have SW potato wedges for tea instead of jacket spud and I am going to fill my plate with them ! Im not sure yet whether to serve with fried eggs and serve with ham or chopped bacon and cheese mmmmmmmm. I can swap my HEBs around and use the HEB for the bacon say and syn the hi fi bar. ive had some sweet chili sauce 1.5 syns with my lentil dahl for lunch, 2 for my option$ and my hi fi bar will be 6 so thats 9.5 syns for today :j0 -

I've never made it with milk or the marg either, just plain old water. I have the tomato and herb one, and chuck in a few chilli flakes to liven it up

I find the opposite. If I have a plan to follow then my week goes much smoother.
do you buy the magazine? there are always fab ideas inside and a weekly meal plan for you to follow.
Think about your favourite foods / meals and work out how you can enjoy them on SW.
vary your HEB options - make sure you don't repeat the same one in anyone week.
play SW bingo.... (my own invention). Get yourself some coloured index cards from your local stationery shop. Chop in half and using pink for red days, green for green days, yellow for extra easy, blue for mix to match etc, write your various meals on the cards, stick in a bowl/ put into the various piles according to meal type and then pick out one card for each meal. hey presto, impromptu meal planning ! Another way to do this (which I have tried also (for all but a day or two!!) is to write out my day's menu on an index card. if you did this for a whole month, then you would have a month's menus and could mix cards to suit and pick one that took your fancy or just take pot luck.
hi flat eric, thanks for the advice. I think thast my problem is that i'll plan a day, and then halfway through the day change my mind about what i want for lunch or dinner, and then throw the whole plan out of whack. also I think there's a bit of my brain that wants to 'rebel' even thought it's me i'm rebelling against! doh!
Also, if i go off plan at any point, like have a biscuit or an extra bit of milk in tea by accident, then my impulse is to just scrap the whole thing and start again tomorrow, when really I could just carry on and not let little things derail me. I have some very bad habits i think!!
I have got the mag, I made the chicken pie recently which was nice but a bit more like a hotpot than a pie. I will definately refer to it more for inspiration.
your game sounds fun! but would be hard for me as i dont ever have much food in the house and we dont do a 'big shop' very often, so i'd be stuck for ingredients a lot of the time! I think my new method is going to be plan 2 weeks of meals and order tescos online accordingly.
I'd love to stick to the weekly plans in the SW magazine but they call for so many different ingredients it's not really cost effective for me - the 'shopping list' at the end is always enormous! But i might pick and choose a few days from the week to do.blackberry-rum wrote: »I've also spent many a fruitless hour trying to take out a contact lens that isn't in. That can lead to a sore eyeball. I don't think this is going to improve with weight loss.
Hehe me too - it's really painful, then I'll suddenly realise i wasn't wearing lenses that day and i've been prodding my eye for no reason!!
today i have a plan and I AM GOING TO STICK TO IT!
EE plan:
1/2 HEA milk in tea/coffee throughout the day
1 clementine, mug of hot water with a bit of lemon (sore throat)
1 fried egg (frylight) with 2 slices ww toast(HEB) (2 syns for flora light) and baked beans
leftover spag bol with veggies and 1/2 HEA cheese
toffee mullerlight
hot choc (2 syns)
dinner - not sure, something with lean beef and rice maybe or pasta again
Can anyone pls help with dinner? I have some thin lean beef strips, I was thinking of cutting them up and doing a stir fry or maybe chunky chilli con carne - are there any good SW recipes for beef??
I dont have any quark or from frais at the mo unfortunately, otherwise i'd do beef stroganoff.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
