its weigh in day for me tomorrow and i know I will be lucky to sts but hey ho. I only have myself to blame!

Anyway, here is a rough outline of my menu plan.
Im going to have a Mix to Match day or Extra Easy day depending on my HE options.

Breakfast - yogurt - either a banana mullerlight or an activia strawberry fat free

    snack - orange

lunch - my sw sweet potato and mushroom curry with added babycorn, spinach and other random veg

mid afternoon snack - Alpen light x 2 (HEB)

    Tea

Almost SW friendly chilli and jacket spuds

syns chocolate in my chilli !

    will update when firmly decided

I need to come up with some vegetarian stir fry recipes. I used a sachet of stir fry sauce at the weekend, it was not worth the syns. Really sweet and yucky. I added garlic and chilli and that improved it, but I am sure I can come up with a better recipe. I have tofu in so could marinade it..... off to think.
    Good luck everyone.

Hi Liz, this may be rubbish as I have NEVER eaten a stir fry in a chinese restaurant, nor have I ever cooked one in a wok, BUT I make a microwave stir fry without using sachets of anything.

sliced garlic, chopped spring onions, sliced ginger, sliced mushrooms, brocolli florets, baby sweetcorn, peas/mangetout/, green beans, chopped pepper, chilli (red items vital, green items use what you've got!) all in a bowl with one tsp sesame oil = 2 syns, give it a shake to get oil on everything then give it 2 mins on high. Add your beansprouts and/or tofu (or prawns or shredded chicken if not vegetarian), big sploshes of free soy sauce and some oyster sauce (one tablespoon = 0.5 so practically free) and heat through for about a minute.

if you've prepared your noodles during this three minute exercise you have a yummy meal in three mins! It's one of my favourites :T
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

WI Wednesday - after work, hope to have lost something. I'm one of those that tries to have syn free days as often as possible and drink a few bacardis on a weekend. Think I've over synned this week, by a few but it's been a * weekend so difficult to tell if I've lost or not.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.
  • Depending how much milk you use in your tea/how many cups a day you drink, why not measure out half your milk and then weigh 14g of cheese, and split them that way? I don't think it's "legal" but as long as you don't cheat ......? and you could use low fat cheese and get 28g iyswim.

I was going to ask if i could do this? I'm put off EE as i only get one HeA, but if i could use half milk and half cheese that would be great! I measure them anyway so i know i don't go over.

Morning all! This wedding planning is bad for my health! I haven't had a decent nights sleep since we decided to go for it last wednesday!!! I get to sleep ok but then OH always gets up to go to the loo in the middle of the night and wakes me up. As soon as I wake up I'm wide awake with my head full of alsorts of thoughts and then I can't get back to sleep! I've always been like this when I have lots of stuff going on thats either exciting, worrying or stressful. I always used to put the light on and read for half an hour to try to break the cycle of thinking about stuff and it usually works. I can't really do that now though as it'd keep OH awake. If it keeps happening I might have to start getting up and reading in another room then going back to bed!!!

I'm going for a green day today:

Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B) and banana
    snacks - pear and nectarine
Lunch - salad, 3 leftover SW chips/wedges, lentil and veg soup, melon
Tea - something with leftover chilli (1 syn & HEB), might make it into a lasagne (HEA for cheese), SW chips or jacket potato, salad or veg

Blimey there's loads of superfrees in there! I'd better get a loss this week!

lisa is doesn't get any easier the closer the date gets either, sorry, but you might find that you can read with the light on - men generally sleep through anything. I can watch TV or read for hours and OH will be snoring away.

    Green day planned here;
B; rice pudding, yoghurt & blackberries
    S; yoghurt
    L; pasta n sauce (0.5)
    D; chicken (Heb) risotto
Heb will probably be a fibre plus bar with a cuppa later, syns will find themselves in their somewhere

  • Hi all,

Sorry but this post is gonna be a bit of a rant and might go some way to explaining me being awol for a while, can't talk to mates about it anymore after trying via facebook the other day and receiving no support :o I need to sort myself out BIG TIME and i know it in myself but all my mates are just saying 'you're fine, there's nothing wrong' but i know in myself there is and i've spent the last 2 weeks fretting about it and rather then listening to myself i reverted back to type this weekend, ok - thats a massive ramble and makes no sense but heres the issue:

I drink way too much - not often - but massive binges and i can't seem to help myself and it isn't helping with the weight loss or indeed helping me save any money and is only succeeding in making me feel like an idiot

I put a status up on facebook saying i wanted/needed to change as i hate the way it makes me feel and also talked to a few 'friends' last night asking them to support me in no longer being billy big spuds after i've had a few drinks and paying for others to stay out with me when they were being sensible and wanting to go home at a reasonable hour and received support from ONE person so i guess i've seen who my real friends are :( and thats left my feeling even worse today then i did waking up Sunday at 5pm a having a 'lightbulb moment' and deciding this is when i change - and i'm changing for myself!

Sorry for the rant but i feel atm i have nowhere else to vent/ramble/waffle on without being told i'm being stupid.

Anyways, today is a new day and the start of a new me so hopefully you'll see me here more often as i take charge of my own life and do what's happy for me.
Thanks for listening ladies and gents, i'll be back later to update on food for the day and after tonights weigh in which i'm dreading following the weekends excesses :o

DDB - (((hugs))) we may not be 'friends' but I for one will support you in making a change. It may not be easy but we'll always be here for you to rant to :) Just think of the money & the health benefits - well done on your lightbulb moment - this could REALLY change your rate of weightloss too! It's all good! :D

Sorry me again - can someone please confirm Saisnbury's Chick Pea Dahl is still free on green? Thanks :o

There is another free chick pea dahl. It's made by Sundar (I think!) I've not tried it as have never found it in shops, but I did spot it in Morrisons the other day, but realised I had 4 cans of the Asda one in the cupboard so didn't buy it! I find the Asda one a bit bland to be honest. I have it every now and then as a quick meal but wouldn't choose it as a curry IYKWIM!

DDB - (((hugs))) you'll get lots of suport on here!
