I can't remember your name but the person who posted who's Vegan........there's no point you doing EE, you might as well stick with Green and have 2 HEB and 1 or 2 HEA. EE is great if you want to be able to have meat and carbs together but if you don't eat meat or fish there's no benefit from doing it.

My plan changed somewhat today and ended up being EE so I'll repost it:

    Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), banana
    Snack - pear and nectarine
Lunch - jacket potato, prawns, coleslaw (don't know syns but will be well within my allowance)
Snack - yogurt with mixed berries
Tea - chilli (2), rice, SW chips, salad, salad cream (1)

I think I've found my engagement ring!!!! That's why I had the jacket spud at lunch, the sandwich shop is next to the jewellers so I decided to treat myself to celebrate. I actually saw 3 I liked and they're much cheaper than the one I had previously chosen. OH is coming to have a look and hopefully do the important bit on Wed. Tonight we went for a look around a reception venue, it was very nice but very modern. We've pencilled it in so we don't lose it as it's available on the day we want but we haven't confirmed anything as it's the only one we've seen so far. Then on the way back we passed another that we're visiting on thurs, we called there to have a nosey and it's totally different but very lovely. It's in a big old house with lovely gardens. The room is much bigger and it would be loads better for photos. Can't wait to go for the meeting with the wedding planner now!!! The staff were lovely too, they just told us where everything was and let us wander and have a nosey to our hearts content!!!

Hi thats me whos a vegan - only joined SW last week on Thursday so still getting my head round it all:) the leader suggested everyone followed the EE days to start, but from looking at it yes Green does seem the best option for me as I don't have any meat/fish. Thanks for info.

Im going to sit down and work out syn values for my vegan products like soya cheese, yoghurt, mock meat type foods - make myself a list so it's easier to follow. Have ordered the green book but might be 2 weeks. Think a lot of my vegan meals I cook will be fine for green days as long as I swap the oil I use to use for the fry light spray.

    Sounds exciting finding your ring:)

This is the salt alternative I use to add flavour to foods is called "Herbamare spicy pikant" made by A Vogel.

Not sure if I can post a link as it's also a sales site but if interested do google it as really tasty!

Got mine from the health store.

  • Evening all,

Fozzie - I can't begin to tell you all the benefits of going (and staying) to a group. I joined end of January 2008 and got to target by early December same year after trying EVERY other diet going (I lost 3 stone) and still, every week I pick up another tip or another recipe. I'm not a fan of 'happy clapping' but it can give you a boost if you need it. Give it a go - at worst you will get the books and the initial chat and then you could benefit from all the great advice from the ladies on here.

Dizzy - so glad there's no more appointments for you for a while. You must be a very strong person to keep so cheerful with all you have to go through - all the best to you. x
  • Me again, never heard of Aromat but off to get some tomorrow. Thanks for that. x

No you can't sw mina sorry.

Oh no! Why did they change it? I can't make a choice between milk in my tea and my jacket-with-cheese lunch. Looks like it's back on the red/green for me. Gutted.
