Hello
Just joined SW last Thursday as had my "lightbulb" moment and finally decided it was time to lose weight.
SW seems very good - Im vegan and have found several recipes and cant believe how much you can eat with the free foods.
I can't eat low fat yoghurt or quorn or quark - hard to find the vegan alternatives but Im using plain soya yoghurt.
Anyone know what veggie/vegan sausages/burgers are free? Im trying to compare quorn nutritional values with the info on the frys products and need to learn if these are free or not.
I have frys veg sausages and wok strips chicken style in the freezer - hard to know what is free.
Im missing my toast like mad and chocolate but am an all or nothing person so not having any!
Hope I do lose weight with this - I seem to be eating more than before but hopefully the right foods?
I tend to have green or extra easy days and an avaage day is:
Breakfast - porridge (28g as H/E) rice milk and red berry fruits
Lunch - pasta or rice, tofu and veggies or salad, sauce made with pasata and onions, mushrooms peppers etc.
Dinner - again a pasta/rice dish but not the same as lunch, or jacket and beans or stir fry or those yum SW chips, veg sausage mushy peas or beans.
Snacks are fruit - banana/orange/grapes/berries etc...
Only drink water mainly as not a tea/coffee drinker, hate the idea of this but maybe Il try diet coke - I need an alternative drink and I oly had non diet cordial before or juice as dont like idea of artificial sweetner.
Really hope Ive got my head round this!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Could some kind soul help me please?
I am on Day 1 of EE and need to know syn value of Red Lambrusco which is only 4% not like Red Wine which I CAN see the syn value for.
The other syn value I need is Lidl Eridanous Greek Style Yoghourt. (10% fat) The breakdown on tub reads: 100g - 126 cal, fat 10.5g, Carbs 2.8g, Protein 5.0g
Other than that my day has been OK.
Thanks everso.:)0 -

Alternatives to mayo, well I use a half and half mix of mayo extra light and either syn-free fromage frais or Greek yoghurt. With the addition of black pepper, it's yummy and very very low syn.
Aromat is Fab stuff....... I use it all the time ! Its lovely on egg & chips0 -

quorn sausages are free. linda mccartney ones are 1 syn each. I think most veggie sausages are under 2syn each but don't quote me on that!!
How about sparkling water instead of diet coke? or flavoured fizzy water (though most have sweetners in)?
Good luck

Do you mainly follow red/green or extra easy and what is your favourite plan ? what is your favourite sw meal ?
For those members who joined SW pre extra easy, how do you get on with EE ? how do you find only having one A and one B yet unlimited free green and red and do you find it hard work having that one third superfree ? any tips for an anti EE person ?!?!
what is your favourite way to spend your syns ?
what day/days do you find the hardest ?
what was your motivation for joining sw and how do you keep yourself motivated ?0 -
Someone was after a jacket potato filling - quark mixed with chopped red & green peppers and tuna is an old SW receipe long before EE was thought up! (Tuna as a HEb).
Good day today but a bit off my food (for me!)
B; egg & beans
L; yoghurt & mugshot
D; Schwartz spaghetti carbonara with HEB of bacon (2 syns)
Can anyone look up Tesco chocolate bars for me pls - they're like snickers - I think they're just called Nutty or something. Sorry to be vague
Thanks all, C xx0 -
Evening all
I've had a good day off. Lots of running up and down the 6 flights of stairs to my flat fetching stuff up for my dad who was doing diy here!
Green day:
B - banana, 2 x activa ff yog
L - Wm roll (HEB), cheese (HEA), onion, LF mayo (1syn)
D - stirfry veg, noodles, soy sauce, black bean sauce (2.5syns)
Snacks - cheese (HEA), tinned pineapple (HEB), LF creme fraiche (3syns)
Drinks - water, coffee, NAS squash, fizzy water
Total syns = 6.5
I still have a HEB and syns to play with, not really in mood for my normal fibre plus bar. May have some tinned fruit and LF creme fraiche later.
