    Morning All

Well After I Logged off last night and sat down to watch Telly, I decided that I wasnt going to go through with all the porkie pies and tell him the truth about not going to the do ...... Ive never lied to him before - and it felt all wrong doing it :o even if it meant him getting angry at me. As it was all he did was give me a big massive hug and called me a big silly for not telling him how worked up i'd got myself as I burst into tears on him :o. He said he understands how I feel and that he didnt mean to back me into a corner with it.....he just thought it would be a good thing to have some 'me time' again with my friends - but maybe a disco with lots of people and stuff going off isnt exactly the right thing to start with lol :) and we have a family daytime christening next month so Im aiming for that instead (Il be happier too as its local and OH will be there :))

I feel loads better now.....thankyou all for putting up with my moaning yesterday :rotfl: I dont do being miserable normally...sorry!! :Axx

Vixie glad your OH is back and sorting things out hun, I meant to say it yesterday....but my head was all over the place ! you just take the eating thing one day at a time..... x x

I'm glad ur night turned out ok Dizzy. :) I know the 2 of you will have a great day at the christening! :)

Thats alright hun, you had your own things do think about :) OH has a disiplinary at work tomorrow and its inevitable he will be dismissed (due to him going AWOL) he has to find out whats going on with his job anyway as he hasn't formally resigned - he isn't in a fit mental state to carry on with the job anyway (its very physical and stressful with v demanding performance targets) I'm not expecting a positive outcome but at least its step 1 of many sorted out.

I really dont want this stress to be the ruin of all my hard work. The scales aren't showing a gain ... yet! I have absolutely no energy so its gonna happen (unless i can get 20 cans of sugar free red bull for £1...some hope!)

    Sorry for ranting...
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..
  • Afternoon everyone.

DizzyK - I'm so pleased you managed to tell your OH the truth. I bet you feel so relieved....
MrsM - I feel so inspired now..

I've been awful this week :(. Have been following the plan - but not 100%. It's WI tomorrow, and I'll be glad with a 1lb loss.
I have a busy week coming up, so will try and plan my meals and stick to the plan as much as possible. I'll also try and post my daily meals - hopefully I can get some constructive criticism from you guys...

Dizzy - I knew he would understand [shed a tear at the image of you two hugging, very emotional :p]

    Food today:
B - half a cup of coffee [felt ill :o]
L - about 3pm, Roast chicken, mash, curly kale, cauli, roast carrots, peas, roast onion, yorkie, gravy mmmmmmmmmmmmm
T - probably pineapple, melon, muller, meringue
    Snacks - apple,
    Syns - don't count them on a Sunday :D

Haven't had any HEs because of breakfast so will try for a fibre plus at some point, not holding my breath though as after that lunch will be stuffed rest of day :rotfl:

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the syns for a battered chip shop sausage? Also Batchelors minestrone cup a soup + slimmer soup, same flavour? Can't access the website now :(. Thanks in advance.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Heartbroken 12.12.13
  • according to my FD Slim a soup - ministrone with croutons is 3syns and normal cup a soup - ministrone with pasta is 6 syns and cup a soup with croutons is 4.5.

They're the only ministrone ones listed in my FD.

Unfortunately the battered sausage isnt listed in either my 2010 FD or my 2007 FD!
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

I need help girls! I lost 2 stones a couple of years ago with SW (went for 12 months) and had not put any back on since I stopped going. However I have now weighed myself because I could feel clothes are more snug ;) and I have put on nearly half a stone.

I was poorly this summer and not able to get out as much as usual (walking, cycling) so this hasn't helped. My weight always goes straight on my middle and i HATE it.

Towards the end of my visits to SW I just could not lose any more weight (but I could do with losing more) and stayed at a certain weight for months. My consultant couldn't offer any advice because she knows I stick to the diet and exercise plenty.

I'm in my 50's and on HRT and I really do think this is affecting my weight although they tell me at the surgery categorically NOT. I remain unconvinced.

Anyone out there of a similar age and on HRT and actually losing? Even the 2 stones I lost came off SO slowly.

I am thinking of trying EE this time but previously I did the original plan mostly. Don't want to sound too creepy but when I do something I give it 100% and did so with SW. Stuck to the plan, did my exercise, tried all the recipes, took in food for taster evenings etc etc but it does get disheartening when you're sitting with people who tell you they've had umpteen bacardis, fish & chips and a chinese takeaway in ONE week & still lose weight.:(

I'm not over 50 but i thought i would say hello

On a positive note 1/2 stone is only 7lbs... and even if it does come off slowly at least its coming off! You achieved it before so you can achieve it again! You couldn't help being poorly.

It does worry me tho, when you say your consultant couldn't offer advice! Even if she doesn't know then surely she can show your diary to a district manager or something (i'm sure Consultant31 can answer your questions much better than me!)

The people at group who eat all that and lose weight are either: A/ lying! B/ they have tonnes of weight to lose or C/ ate takeaways very frequently before SW (Just my opinion! As i am one of those ppl that had tonnes to lose AND i would eat "takeaway" food and drink alcohol about 4 times a week)

Stick with it and hang out with us on here :) this thread is full of great people who provide great advice, support and recipes!

    Evening all

Well done MrsM! :jand all the other losers.

I've got to say that I'm a little proud of myself today :) Me and my friend went to Ikea and on the way in I clocked that the veggie options in their canteen were nowhere near SW friendly. So I said to my friend that we should go to Cardiff Bay for lunch instead (it's 5mins from Ikea). My friend was paying for lunch cos I drove us to Cardiff, she said we could have dinner anywhere......Nandos, Pizza Expresss, GBK, Pizza Hut, Harry Ramsdons, All you can eat Chinese etc .....but I steered her towards a pub which I knew would have at least a jacket spud. In the end I had the quorn chilli with rice :j I asked the lady at the bar and she said the chilli was cooked on premises using a spray oil :D. It did have a small dollop of sour cream on it, but otherwise it was a syn free choice :D. Can't believe I turned down free pizza :rotfl:

Green day (will update in full later):

B - 2 eggs fried in frylight on HM WM toast (HEB), marg (1syn)
L - quorn chilli, rixe, sour cream (3syns)
    D - cheese (2 x HEA), pickled onions, salad crudities, red pesto (5syns), melba toast x4 (2syns)
    Snacks - activa ff yog
Drinks - coffee, NAS squash, water

    Total syns = 11

i did SW a while ago and only use my old books and support here, have you done SW before? we could help you? how much do you know? thats a silly question cos if you knew how much you didn't know you'd know it all? ;) so the question i should be asking is,have you done SW before? if not you only need to attend 1 week to get the books and then we'll all help from there? :D

Thanks Susan for the reply - no I haven't done sw before so only know what I've read on here. I think I'm going to join on-line for the initial three months and see how I go. I'm sure I'll be back for lots of help and advice
