The pension bloke is coming for tea?
I meant I don't know when to make it for so we aren't eating when he comes. I think it'll be bolognaise, I can give it to the boys early and just do our pasta once pension bloke has gone
really am going now.
ETA - grr forgot the whole reason i come on this morning was to ask Beenie/3, do you have a furminator for your dogs? I'm thinking of getting one for Patch's Christmas present but I'm not sure what size, do I need the long hair one too? he only has the usual springer long hair on his ears and flanks.0 -
Has anyone ever 'weighed in' old clothes?
L's school does a collection a couple of times a year and sends big blue bags home. We take them to school full of old stuff, and someone collects them and normally pays school around £300 for the PTA.
My little sister tells me there is a place opened near her that takes your old clothes and pays you by weight for them. I can't find any details on google, but I have three large black bags full of stuff not good enough for ebay, and wonder if it's worth taking them down there, or keep hold of them for the next school collection. I cba going down there if it's to earn 50p. :rotfl:
Ooh, i've just remembered. I went to the tip this morning with other junk, and cleaned the junk out of the car while I was there. I got a pile of papers out of the drivers door cubby, and found a tenner. :j:beer:0 -
Ladybird, did you order some of the cous cous? I got some 'de identified' *cough* moribobs *cough* lemon and coriander from them last week, it was BBE June 2010 smells a bit artifical when you open the back but nice once made up, Edgar had a bit too, I think it needs a spot butter/oil adding though
I got one of these for hubby to try http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/PASTA_AND_NOODLES/Hotbox_Self_Heating_Ravioli_Stuffed_with_Vegetables_300g He said it was nice and he'd have it again and it really was nice and warm! they only have a kettle at his work so it was a nice change from his usual hot options of pot noodle or cous cous or luke warm soup in a flask
Hiya - yes a crate of the 1p stuff. I love how the deidentified stuff is so easy to identify by er, looking at the picture! I did look at the pasta thingies, looks like a good idea for camping or whatever. My Aunt did similar on the bus and nudged the man next to her and said "look there's some moo cows." This made me :rotfl:. Good thing I'm here on my own .
Front door painted, cucumbers pickling in jars, chutney cooked and ready to jar (bit it can wait until later), tescos shopping put away. Second lot of washing done. Some of the washing up done. Massive mess everywhere else. Even though I've done loads I don't feel like i've achieved anything today. I'm going to do some sitting down jobs first though. Im going to make a template to use for chutney labels. And maybe tidy up some biscuits. :whistle:Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Hi all,
Susan - the side effects of antihistamines can be atrocious. Benadryl one a day caused a seizure for me. It still amazes me that you can buy them off the shelf (not even over the counter) when they can have such dramatic (and apparently not uncommon) side effects.
I have read back...why is my mind blank?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I've got the normal medium sized one for my long haired border collies and it does the job. I would guess that size would be fine for Patch.
Tip: brush him in the garden while wearing old trousers. It's unbelievable the amount of hair that comes out!
I leave the spare hair in the garden in the spring time and the local birdies line their nests with it. Their babies must be very snugHere I go again on my own....0 -
I've ranted loads about it already, so feel quite exhausted to go into details but the long & short of it is due to some insane incompetence by the recruiters for the job I was offered, they have withdrawn the offer and I no longer have a job. (1 of which being they needed a car driver, which I am not)top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Aless that is ridiculous. If they needed it to be a car driver then fair enough, but they should have said so to start with! They need to go on SS's list.

I just looked at the floor and they are everywhere
Im very  My SMP finished Friday and my last day of work was Saturday, so i went to Housing Benefit to tell them and the woman said that we are entitled to income support and to call them.
So i called them and they said that was wrong and im not entitled to it as i thought.
Tax credits want my p45 and so do Housing Benefit but work are so rubbish at everything they wont send it for weeks and no one is answering the phone as usual!
I cant go in as i dont have a pass anymore and all the managers have changed so no one knows who i am, and if someone did know me they would be in a meeting and wont have time to talk to me.0
