Thank you. I'm more bothered about whether they change things than whether they apologise to me or not so I've deliberately not specifically requested one so as to keep the focus on changing things for the future. I was taking it as a given that they would reply but I'll add, "I look forward to hearing from you." at the end just to make sure. I think initially I should just send the letter to the hospital as I think it's only fair to give them a chance before involving others.

Susan, my brain's not really in the right place for an in-depth analysis, but overall it looks well-presented & logical. Do you wish for them to respond? - if so, you should put that you expect a response or similar.

I agree - a reponse should be a given, but I know that it no longer is I would hate for them to think they can read and forget about it.

Susan - the only thing I would say is that it's perhaps quite long? Meaning that whoever receives it may just skim it rather than give it the attention it deserves.

Susan - I think it is a well thought out and humbling letter. I only worry that it will not receive the attention it deserves. I hope you feel okay after writing it.

Susan I read the letter, but don't have anything to add. I'm sorry you were treated so poorly, and well done for communicating this with the hospital. I'm sure most people wouldn't want to/feel able to, but hopefuly you will be able to prompt some positive changes

I did wonder about the "longness" of it but I can't see any way of cutting it down. I'm hoping that having the numbered headings for improvements will help if they are skim reading.

Thanks - I'll pursue it if they ignore it. The photo bit did make me cry but I'm okay.

One reason why I feel it's so important for me to complain is because I feel able to and I know a lot of people probably don't feel able to and if nobody ever does, how will things ever improve?
