Not read back yet but can I have some opinions please?

I'm going to buy my petite star zia and I don't know whether to get red or sky blue

I'm worried the blue would be too boyish for any subequent babies who might need to use it! I really really want the berry but it's £25 more so I'm being strong!

ETA my footmuff is a purple graco one which may or may not fit! I guess it doesnt go too well with either really lol

I'm another who'd get the berry, I really wish I had instead of the black/white I got.

Would your purple muff (snigger) go with the berry?

Hope everyone is ok. Hugs,'s and :T where appropriate.

Glam In case you didn't get my text. Have you tried shoesforkids.co.uk. They do Clarks and others cheaper. You can search by size now he's been measured. They have quite a few Clarks little ones in stock, but it's dependant on if they have your size in the style you like.

I've come for a moan, V is asleep so there is nobody else for me to rant at.
    Bl))dy stooopid ebay people.
My stuff that ended last week, one lady in Hungary sent me loads of messages asking about postage, more details etc etc, and finally won four items. She's now had her ebay account suspended. I looked at her feedback and all of them say promised payment which never arrived. Why bother bidding. Now i'll have to relist.

And, another stooopid woman wanting to return something. It's size 12-18 months old, as was stated in the listing. She wants to return it because it's too small for her 18 month old who's 'larger than average'. And that's my fault?

Ps - Gill just think with £25 you could buy a fabulous funky footmuff :D don't go wasting it for a colour! :A or I wonder how much the cool cow print bag was that Aless has

Yes Gill £25 can get you this. Which is what we have on Alex Red Babyjogger. Not that i'm advocating spending real money or anything.:D

has anyone got a yummy christmas cake recipe?

Found my tatty torn bit of paper!

    for a 7" tin

    8 oz marg
    8 oz brown sugar
    8 oz plain flour
    8 oz sultanas
    12 oz currants
    2-4 oz glace cherries
    2-4 oz mixed peel
    2 oz ground almonds
    4 eggs
    teaspoon of mixed spice

    for a 8" tin

    12 oz marg
    12 oz brown sugar
    12 oz plain flour
    12 oz sultanas
    1lb currants
    4 oz glace cherries
    4 oz mixed peel
    2 oz ground almonds
    6 eggs
    1½ teaspoons of mixed spice

    1) Soak all the dried fruit in sherry/brandy/whisky/rum. (optional, but essential IMO :D)

    2) Cream marg and sugar.

    3) Beat in eggs.

    4) Fold in flour, ground almonds and mixed spice.

    5) Mix in fruit and make a wish.

    6) Place mixture in a greased and lined cake tin. Wrap brown paper or newspaper around the sides of the cake tin (stops the edges burning).

    7) Bake at 130°C for a few hours until a skewer comes out clean.

As an alternative, add up the quantity of dried fruit and use the equivalant weight of dried fruit mix that you can get in supermarkets. I always put extra cherries in too as r.mac suggested.

Have made countless cakes by that recipe over the years and had plenty of compliments, and used it for my wedding cake.

Did you ever find yourself talking to her in the car and then realise she wasn't with you?

I do that all the time :o Or I tell the dogs what I'm doing but they never seem that interested unless it involves food :D

me too - I was out in the car on my own on saturday and found myself pointing at a police car and saying ' look a police car'! :rotfl:

My Aunt did similar on the bus and nudged the man next to her and said "look there's some moo cows." A few minutes later, the man nudged her back and said "look there's a choo choo." :rotfl:

Hope all the poorly ones feel better soon. *hugs* Alyss - hope you are ok xx

Ok red zia purchased!!! GISI will have to add me to her list :)

3 - I like to think my muff would match but it might not fit! So not really a reason to buy it.....as others have cleverly pointed out to me I can get a nice new one that does match and fit :)

I've also bought two soft cloth books (he loves the one he has) for £2.50 each (darn amazon and it's 'other people bought this') all for "free" thanks to nectar, shop and scan and swagbucks :money:

I think I need to do some experimenting with that bottle warmer, it does say you can use it to warm baby food.

OMG when did it get to almost 2pm!! this is what I get for only getting up at 10am :o what am I going to do for tea tonight.... Pension bloke coming and I don't know when, stupid husband didn't tell me, just said I need to tidy (in a nice way but for some reason that sounds like he didn't :p)

    Smell ya later!
