Morning all, havent cought up the last few days and doubgt Ill get the chance so apologies if I missed anything of major importance.

Kindof - Mothercare do sterilising kits where there is a bag you fill with water and hang off a door or similar it also comes with the sterilising tabs, that way you dont have to worry about finding a container the right size either. They also have a couple of devices for heating bottles, I have one that plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car if your out and about or theres one that uses the same gel in the hand warmers, but you need to keep boiling it to reset it. Alternativley its a bowl of boiling water and stand the bottle in it. If you were closer Id offer you to borrow it.

Couple of Qs for you ladies...

    1) fleece sleep suits do you use them like dressing gowns? or does LO sleep in them? atm am just putting T in the ones we've been given once she gets up and I take her out of her sleeping bag and its cold.

    2) those of you doing BLW how long do you leave LO with food infront of them? sometimes T eats non stop and has a good mess with her food, other time she's not intrested or just plays. Oh and Ive noticed the more mess we make the more we enjoy our food :D I love watching her enjoy her food.

Well waited in for washing machine repair man all day yesterday, we just got told afternoon appointment so after 12pm. Finally turned up at 6.40 after phoning an hour earlier saying he was running late! When he did show up he didnt have the part needed so still not repaired :( He said hopefully he can get back today or will be early next week :(

Then had to nip out to Tesco round the corner- put the steak on and came back to ashes! (I darent go near a slow cooker weezl!) Then had to quickly make a burger for DH's tea instead :o which meant As bath was a little late. Cue inconsolable baby crying at full volume for 20 mins before finally calming down. She couldnt even latch on and was being impatient so let down wasnt happening- DH then quickly got all formula stuff out from storage and made her a bottle up (I felt terrible at failing to feed her and could have pretty much cried if I had to resort to formula...:(:() thank god she eventually got there just as DH brought it up. :(

Hopefully I will get more sleep tonight, fingers crossed.

Sorry for being a moaning minny at the moment- thats why ive not been posting as I would just moan. :o
:grouphug: (And as I said to Glam - it's not moaning, it's sharing your troubles. Sometimes just being able to tell other people about something can help make it easier to deal with.)

I don't think I've ever been called wise before. I'm just muddling along the same as everyone else.

Sami, BFing survey done. Not sure of her questioning though if she's aiming for overseas opinions. They're very 'Australian', which, being one, I understood, but not everyone is going to get what TAFE is, and the household income in $AU.

I wonder if all these fidgety babies is because of the cold? Sophie's been waking up because of it, think I'm going to have to put her in mittens to sleep!

She's started interacting with her bear, which is really cute. Mostly she tries to eat it, but also sits and strokes it.

I used to eat my food then do the washing up and then clear up Alice's stuff. It meant I gave her plenty of time but I wasn't just sitting watching her and waiting. But obviously that only works if you eat in the kitchen.

I'm tempted to put the heating on but have been putting extra clothes on instead. OH and Alice are both very warm so they don't need it. Alice is still in summer nighties and if she sleeps under her 4.5 tog duvet she gets really sweaty. Meanwhile I'm sleeping in winter pyjamas and socks with an extra 13 tog duvet on top of the 10.5 tog one. And having a hot water bottle. And OH sleeps with his legs sticking out of the bed because the 10.5 tog duvet makes him too hot.

OH has informed me that tonight is going to be the coldest night since the spring and there could be a frost. This is  because we are camping tonight (just in the garden). Alice is very :j about camping - we haven't been since she was three months.

Oh Susan, stock up on some thermal undies! Aldi/Lidl usually do good ones if you catch them when they're in...

It's cold here, too. I need to swap Finn's sleeping bag to the winter one, I think. And acquire some fleecy sleepsuits!

Dodgy hugs for Glam, too, I forgot to say last night. Sorry you're having such a rough time of it :o.
