Went to Tesco tonight to pick up my bargain Leapfrog Toy order. £90 of toys for £50. When i opened the box when i got home, there was an extra toy in there. A lovely wooden train set. Ive not ordered it and its definately not on the delivery note, so yay, score.
I have to say the last two nights conversations have been funny. Cervix and wiffy arm pits! It is beyond me how anyone would be scared to come and post in here. Its hilarious. And tomorrows topic will be?0 -

and I don't smell. I ask DH regularly if I do as even though I'm pretty sure I don't, I don't know anyone else who doesn't need to use deodorant so I like to keep checking!
I can however feel my cervix, should the need arise :rotfl:
Sugar hope you have a fab weekend!
That's ok about earlier MFD, I did wonder what you were on about though. Sorry the job isn't what you wanted.
Aless you don't look like you have an extra 3 stone! You must have been very skinny before.
emm, I don't smell and generally never use deoderant/antipersperant as I don't ever feel I need to. Glad I'm not the only one!
Oh and I've never felt or tried to feel for my cervix and don't think I ever will :rotfl:Krystaltips wrote: »Gill, my Hermes man won't leave a parcel unless I'm here to take it from him... When I had a return with La Redoute, I just handed it over when he bought the replacement round...
Someone just rang, hubby answered the phone and they asked for the homeowner... Then started some script about "this isn't a sales call, blah blah blah... Have you changed your mortgage recently?" Hubby just said "sorry, I don't speak English" and completely bamboozled the guy on the end of the phone lol!
lol - My first flat was the top floor of an old edinburgh tenement - one day I got a call asking if I was interested in new windows, when I explained I'd just replaced them the lady went on to say that my 'area' had been selected for a special deal on conservatorys. After about 20 minutes of feigning interest and this lady not stopping for breath I asked about how she proposed supporting the structure 3 floors up and suggested she researched the area she was cold calling more carefullyI felt a bit bad afterwards though:o

I'm the same asnd tesco non-bio is my washing liquid of choice - it can be hard to come by sometimes though. there appears to be supply problems occassionally. I can get away with persil nn-bio so long as I don't use it for months on end............ AVOID bold as it was awful to my skin after 1 wash, ariel not too bad, but I won't wash my underwear in it :rotfl:r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
thank you for saying that!
nope, not with either of them. Another mum at baby group told me that the absence of it with number 2 was what told her she had PND, compared to the 'immensely overwhelming rush of love' with number one.
I didnt really feel total love for A until 2/3 weeks after she was born- I think it was when she started to show some kind of pattern with eating and I could actually sleep. When she was born I remember DH holding her first and for a good 20 minutes- one of the older M/Ws kept saying how important skin on skin was. I was exhausted and in a complete daze after 48 hours of no sleep at all.
Now, id give anything for her.
Well been a strange day- went to town, got some bits and bobs, got As photo took in Max Speilmann's, only 5.99. Will post a pic when I get a chance. Im impressed with the price as she took about 40 shots (would have been more but bubs was hungry AGAIN) and let me choose so chances are you will get a decent pic. You get large pic, 3 smaller ones and some keyring sized photos too.
Came back and my friend dropped off a huge bag of baby girl stuff for A- shes quite well off so some lovely dresses.
Then had to nip out to Tesco round the corner- put the steak on and came back to ashes! (I darent go near a slow cooker weezl!) Then had to quickly make a burger for DH's tea insteadwhich meant As bath was a little late. Cue inconsolable baby crying at full volume for 20 mins before finally calming down. She couldnt even latch on and was being impatient so let down wasnt happening- DH then quickly got all formula stuff out from storage and made her a bottle up (I felt terrible at failing to feed her and could have pretty much cried if I had to resort to formula...:(:() thank god she eventually got there just as DH brought it up.
Hopefully I will get more sleep tonight, fingers crossed.

That happened to Josh in reception when a boy started biting and hitting others. I told the teacher and she said I wasn't the first person who had spoken to her.
Her way of tackling it was to find a story about bullying, and then they all had a group discussion about how it's not nice to hit and bite people and how it makes the person who has been hurt feel sad. That nipped the problem in the bud and I was impressed with the way she handled it by telling him off and the hurt ones knew he'd been told, but none of the others were any the wiser.Krystaltips wrote: »I'm a bit miffed anyway, the school sent home slips on Friday offering some after school clubs and I put Aimee's name down for art club on a Thursday and handed the slip in on Monday... How much quicker could I have been getting her slip of paper back in?!
Do they all get letters at the same time? That happened with James before on a sports class that was first come first served, but some children had been given the letter earlier in the week than his class, so it was full when he handed his slip in the next day
Hope your brother is ok Kindof. I read up about chrons when they suspected it was one of many bowel things I might have, but luckily it's just IBS. It's not a nice thing to have.
Hope you are ok Glam xx
*hugs* scruffy. That must be a hard decision to make.
Think I'm the weird one as I had the rush of love thing the minute I set eyes on all of mineI was really poorly and had a long labour with Charlotte. She was born just before midnight so they insisted they took her to the nursery so I could get some sleep, but I was really sad as I just wanted her back
I've never compared my armpit smell and I've been in the shower this evening already. I'll have to check after boot camp when I'm really stinky!
Speaking of which, I did it in this evening in an icy cold rain shower which felt like thousands of needles stabbing in my armsHere I go again on my own....0 -
Right not gonna remember all from the last 7 pages but
Hugs to Scruffy and Glam and anyone else who needs them
Yes BM some smelly armpits here but use Sure atmgot-it-spend-it wrote: »Henry is ten months, eats three meals a day, plus snacks and still has four milk feeds a day.
William refused milk today at nursery so at 9months he has 4 meals (little bit of ours) and 2 x 7oz which he never finishes!!!A question for anyone who bottlefeeds either through formula or expressing - do you change the teat size and how often? when T has a bottle he still has size 1 and doesnt seem to mind. I'm just wondering if I'll need to get size 2 or 3 at any point. we use tommee tippee closer to nature.
Think we changed mainly when William started sucking so hard on teat it collapsed, No.3's were about 6months old IIRC.
SJ we just got delivered today the Britax Evolva 123 for Henry so William can move into his old chair, £94.99 with discount code through Quidco £86.39 plus double points and Parents club points 1330!!:j
Oh and just finished making 5 lots of tomato soup!!!!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

firstly, sleep will help with the emotions.
Secondly, please do not feel bad if sometimes you can't Bf Anya. My LO is now 19 months but I had supply problems (caused by a million things all coming together at once and having a rotten impact on my milk quality and supply). It caused me such upset - but there is great support here. Krystal and elle are trained BF councellors. Anyway, my point was that I mixed fed. I BF when and as much as I could, but I also FF. My LO is healthy, active and happy. Any Bmilk is useful for baby, and Fmilk does not cancel out those benefits.
I know how you feel. But please remember that it does not mean you are failing, it means you are listening to and meeting the needs of your baby.
I'm not sure this is very eloquently written, but I wanted to let you know that you aren't alone in this bf/ff/guilt angstr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
MFD - I still really like Spike  if you had used it, it would be totally ironic like Curly Watts offof coronation st back in the day.
Anyone with a baby under 18mths fancy taking a survey about BFing http://www.lactivist.net/?p=18310 -
