Also they are stating that the Court have confirmed that their unauthorised overdraft charges, personal current accounts as opposed to business accounts, are not capable of amounting to penalties at common law.
I am now going back to my bank manager who is aware of financial hardship suffered during the time my husband was in hospital and convalescing after being diagnosed with prostrate cancer. He has now recovered and back at work but during the year he was not in work, the bank continued to charge overdraft charges which I am now trying to recover.
Any advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation would be appreciated.
If this is on the business account, financial hardship rules do not apply to business account charges reclaiming.0 -
Hi
Can anybody point me in the right direction for the Business account reclaiming letter. I understand that it is worded slightly different to the personal account letter.

What makes you think you can claim the charges back? What are you grounds?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
The grounds are obvious aren’t they... someone wants something for nothing0
