    Rename BEFORE saving it
    (So when combofix.txt apears, rename that THEN select to save (When it gives the option of save or run))

    Morning Guys, if you want to get rid of the aforementioned then if you are happy with changing the registry you can do the following -
    Paste this in the code box into notepad and save it as bingo.reg (:D) or something like and then merge it ie right click on (or double click) on the file. I would recommend setting up a restore point first :cool:.
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{0633EE93-D776-472f-A0FF-E1416B8B2E3A}]
    "Deleted"=dword:00000001

    This is what happens to the registry if you remove Bing from IE manage search providers.

    I can’t get my head around this one. Thought the Registry was a no go area for people like me.
    I can’t even see a ‘code box’ in Notepad, or is he referring to the whole page?
    Is he saying ‘copy and paste’ the lower box in his post directly into Notepad? If so how does that work?
    His last comment: “This is what happens to the registry if you remove Bing from IE manage search” sounds like I’m likely to get a nasty surprise.
    Frankly I’d rather live with deleting the error messages than mess with the Registry.

    One good thing that’s come out of all this, you’ll be pleased to know, and thanks to you, is that the overlap problem appears to be cured.

    Have you had a chance to look at the results of the Hijack this log? #70

    It's still the same as it always was. If you don't see the problem you've either swapped over to using a proper browser rather than IE or you've widened the browser window so the problem doesn't happen.

    This has always been an IE error and it still isn't fixed.
